“Great Staff ,”

The hotel was really a very nice place, with staff always willing to help. I chose this hotel over the Marriott because of the reviews I read, even though the marriott was a little more than this. However need to clarify a point here this is not your average hotel, its more of a serviced apartment , with rooms. I think one portion serves as a hotel. The only problem i faced ( and it is only me ) was the short distance from the center of town and the steep climb back to the hotel. Now this is generally not a problem, however I had a broken arm, which made it a bit difficult for me, hence it is not a negative point in general, as the walk can do you good.

Im a basic person and my room had all my needs and thats all I needed. I had plenty of space and its walking distance from everything and I drove and it had free parking.

hotel staff cannot be beat. excellent response to all our requests in prompt, respectful and friendly manner. they took really good care of us. the hotel is older and needs a little cosmetic work but is certainly very functional. we would stay again.

“An enjoyable stay in Oceanview Hotel !”

The General Manager who is a Filipino together with his staff, was very accomondating and hospitable which made our stay comfortable. The GM allowed us to check our a few hours after check-out time free-of-charge since our departure flight was 8PM. He even personally helped us with our luggages and drove us to the airport . The hotel is located on a hill which was difficult to walk thru for seniors like us but he showed us an easier alternative route thru Bayview Hotel using the latter's elevator. Except for a small leak in the countertop lavatory which seaped thru the carpet of the closet, the room was comfortable and clean.

“A few negatives but overall worth it”

The hotel in general was well worth the cost. I had a few mx issues (hot water, water draining from the tub) however, I called the desk and with 5 minutes mx was there and it was fixed. Problem with in room safe (caused by me) and they were there before I hung up. The dresser drawers were broken and hard to open, but you put up with that for the price. The staff was actually one of the very best (both courteous and efficient) that I have EVER experienced....I rate them SUPERB!!!!! Anything I needed was accomotated within record time...anything I asked for was accomplished ...absolutely excellent in that department. Location is excellent...5 min from the "strip" and public beach and 10 from airport. However, the entire outside walking area was VERY slippery when wet and there is a short steep hill to walk up getting to the hotel. The pool is only 3ft deep, but fine for lounging and having a coktail around; however, the pool furniture could be better maintained...again suitable though for the price. Airport pick-up was excellent even at 2 in the morning...and drop off at 5am was no problem either. Overall...well worth the cost and would stay again. One thing you MUST remember though, if you want your room cleaned early in the day, schedule it with the desk...and if you arrive late, like I did, tell them, to insure they clean the next morning or the maid service thinks you didn't arrive that night/morning.

“Good Location”

The only comment I have is the hotel is smoke free. There are no "smoking allowed" rooms nor does the hotel really provide a designated smoking area. Yes, there are several covered outdoor locations where smokers seemed to gather, but this was an "unofficial" designated smoking area. Other than this issue, the hotel is above reproach. The quality of the rooms is good, the hotel staff very helpful and courteous, the convenience store within the hotel lobby was a benefit and they even have a self serve laundry on the 5th floor for those with longer stays. I very much enjoyed the hotel stay.
