Disappointing ResortPosted Feb 26, 2014
We booked this resort as they offered an extra bed for family and had the water park included in the rate. Upon arrival it was clear that our expectations were a little too high. The staff was "there" but didn't go out of their way to acknowledge or assist you. Upon check in I was handed an envelope with my keys - no other explanation about where the room was, where's breakfast, WIFI, etc. etc. Not even a "Welcome to our hotel, hope you enjoy your stay". Just confirmed my name and handed me the envelope. After check in, we parked in the garage which my kids quickly named the graveyard as it seemed a bit dark and scary. There were only two elevators in the tower so waiting and packed rides were common. The room was marginally clean, but bit worn down. Nothing special for a resort - more like a budget hotel feel to it with an awkward sliding door shower that didn't lock. The breakfast was probably the biggest disappointment. We enjoy a nice large breakfast, and while they had some selection, the quality and variety was poor. We had five days of breakfast vouchers and only ate there twice. The water park was fun for the kids. We enjoyed a day there, but wouldn't stay at the hotel, just for that benefit. We were also sad to go out for a swim at the hotel pool only to find it closed at 8PM? The hotel seemed to cater to large Japanese tour groups. We love the Japanese, but just know that the hotel is less oriented to western tastes.

Nice for watersports, waterplay and restingPosted Feb 9, 2014
(+) Good for kids - free waterpark access (+) Watersports - not so crowded as Tumon bay, easily reachable small island for snorkeling (-) Not so close from Tumon downtown - DFS free taxi and shuttle bus service can cover this

A little run down, but great family fun.Posted Dec 23, 2013
The staff was great. Everyone was very polite and laid back. The water park is a bit run down, but my kids loved it. The included breakfast at the Tower was great as was the happy hour from 5-7 that included free wine, beer, juice and coffee. The Italian restaurant was completely overpriced and the food was less than average. The house red wine was atrocious. I didn't try any of the other restaurants. The food at the Polynesian BBQ was very good and plentiful. The show was so-so. The rooms were very large and clean. The bathroom was super. Internet access in the rooms was $10 a day. IT should be free, although there is free Wi-Fi in the Tower Lounge. Tip - Don't use the hotel's airport shuttle. A taxi ride is much cheaper, about $25.

Differentiated treatment for Expedia customers.Posted Dec 16, 2013
Cons: attention and respect to Expedia customers. staff ability to help English speakign customers
Truly dissapointed with diferentiated treatment for Expedia customer. Ince they identified us as a Expedia rate (and that was in 30 seconds) atention and "respect" was very different. Also, rooms allocated to Expedia customers are differentiated (in a bad way!). Hotels is ok ... staff has an easier time speaking Japanese, Chinese and Russian than English.

Very spacious roomPosted Dec 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our family loved Onward beach resort mainly because of spacious room and water park. The room was the biggest room that we had experienced among normal delux rooms. The staffs were very kind and supportive to customers.

Stormy StayPosted Sep 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Rooms are spacious and clean. However, since my stay was raining continously for 3 days, part of the lobby window are leaking. The water park is closed and the buffet breakfast is crowded and need to wait at least 15 mins for a table.

Enjoyed the Water ParkPosted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was suitable for part of our visit to Guam. It was convenient to the Guam Premium Outlets and the Naval Base. The water park was good except the height restrictions were unnecessarily a few inches too high for my very short, strong enough swimmer, 8 year old son. We were there for four nights and he prefered to go the a different water park called Tarza. Also was not happy with the fact that the pool located at the hotel itself closed at 8pm. The rooms itself was spacious and comfortable enough. I did enjoy a massage at the Thai Spa located on the property.
