“DO NOT STAY HERE.....”
Only had reservations here because all other hotels were booked. Was suppose to stay for 7 nights...checked out after night 1. I would have rather slept in my rental car than in this hotel. Horrible location....pretty ghetto apartments all around it. The only air conditioned part of the hotel is in your room. Hot, muggy hallways. Room - bathroom sink leaked water all over floor, it rained and ceiling started leaking, fridge smelt like something died in it, extra towels and bedding were brought to me wet and not smelling clean, killed 4 roaches in less than 24 hours, and don't expect the free wifi to work at all in your room and maybe in the lobby, the bed was in horrible conditon...wouldn't even call it a mattress. Even it you do get a good deal here on Expedia per night....I would never recommend this to anyone. The hotel should be shut down.
“Good for one night”
The Ramada is well-located near thre airport and within walking distance (if you're willing to walk on Guam's pedestrian-unfriendly streets) of major stores, malls, and restaurants. The hotel itself is a a bit dingy and the rooms are OK but a bit dark and dingy. Internet is a bit unpredictable, too, especialy in the rooms. The place is fine for a night or two, but if I ws in Guam for a longer stay, I'd look for another hotel...
“Not Impressed”
Rooms are small and cramped, unless you're a hobbit. Then you might consider them spacious. The hotel has a business center with no printer tied in to the system. If you're flying, it is a hassle to get your boarding pass printed. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room maid service was spotty.
“Not the Ramada we Expected”
The room looks better in the pictures. The lay-out is inefficient. You walk in, and there's a small sitting area and a desk. Then comes the walk-through to the sleeping side as you go through the kitchenette area, which at least has a microwave and small frig. Directly across from it is the bathroom on (the other side of the bathroom is the bed.) The room is small and the beds look like they are from a hooker motel and are they real low to the ground. The only place to sit while watching TV was the bed or the toilet. At least we never saw any roaches. Housekeeping never came before about 3 or 4 pm so that sucked, and when they did, it was, knock, knock, housekeeping and a about two seconds later, the door opened.” We had to yell for them to wait but by then they were already in our room! The hotel room just seemed very shabby. They were always hosting events in their "conference/party room" so the available parking was questionable at best. The pool was closed for "maintenance" during our whole week but no one was ever working on it. The staff was very helpful though, the shuttle service was great, as was the central loation but definitely rent a car.
“Would stay again”
The hotel staff were very helpful. A free bus service was offered for shopping. Free internet and breakfast was a nice touch. It is not a resort, but for short stay you can't beat the price. I would stay there again.
“Best deal for low budget”
For one of the cheapest places to stay on the island, this hotel is a treasure. First of all, you don't just get a room. You get a suite. There's a separate living area with small dining table/chairs and a comfy loveseat. There's also kind of a mini-kitchen with fridge. Also you get a microwave, so if you want to save some money on food you can just drive down to K-Mart (about 5 min) and get something that you can pop in the microwave. In the bedoom section (it's not separated with a door, just like a half-wall thing) there is a surprisingly comfy queen bed and nice flatscreen TV. The bathroom is a bit small and only has a shower (no tub) but you get hot water and it's fine. The toiletries are very nice too. I didn't really use any of the amenities outside of my room as I had a car and was gone most of the day every day. The location is awesome; not right by the beach or anything but only 5 minutes by car (highly recommend renting a car; it's worth every penny) to one of my favorite beaches on the island, right next to Pacific Islands Club. Great swimming/snorkeling (i even saw a small harmless shark there one day!) and was never overly crowded when I went in the summer. Now it's not a 5 star so you won't get 5 star service. They're very nice and friendly but were not very helpful as far as directions or recommendations for activities. However, if you just drive around the island you can find your own adventures. Overall, great stay for travelers on a budget!
“Nice and ecomonic hotel”
The front desk is very friendly.
“Great hotel”
Excellent Hotel, great experience and fast service.
“Enough Bang For Your Buck”
As far as the room goes, it's what you expect for what you paid. The air conditioner was old and worn; it didn't do a very good job at cooling the room down. Other than that, the room was pretty good. Definitely clean enough for my standards with a pretty comfortable bed (not the best, but not the worst). The hotel is located within a few miles of Tumon, which was great. A cab ride to the DFS area cost us about $9 because we misread the shuttle schedule. This hotel is a good choice for those who don't want to spend a lot, but still want to be near the tourist areas.
“Guam vacation”
The hotel was pretty centrally located. Close to Tumon Bay, tourist hotels, shopping and restaurants. The Grill Curry Cafe was an excellent place to eat at. The food was excellent, decently priced and the staff were very good to us for the duration of our 3 week stay. Kudos to them! I was floored with the overall plumbing conditions on the island including the Ramada. The toilet in one of the rooms they temporarily put us in upon arrival kept plugging up. Yuck! Most anywhere you go on the island, public toilets usually have a sign saying not to flush toilet paper! Overall, if you are looking for a moderately priced and centrally located hotel, the Ramada is a good place to stay if you don't plan on spending alot of time in your room. The staff were excellent in promptly meeting our needs.
