Good, basic hotel, close to beach/restaurantsPosted Feb 6, 2014
We didn't have any major problems with our hotel stay. It wasn't fancy but was clean and comfortable-- similar to a Holiday Inn or the like. There are several good restaurants in the lobby as well as a pool and a gym. (For military members, there's a very nice USO lounge in the lobby as well.) It's walking distance to the beach and to numerous restaurants along Guam's "hotel strip," and easy driving distance to a lot of touristy places like UnderwaterWorld, Two Lovers' Point, the Micronesia Mall, etc. Three negatives: - Once during our stay, our door key stopped working-- turned out the battery in the door's lock had died and needed to be replaced-- and though this was inconvenient, the staff responded quickly and apologetically to fix the problem. - The only really displeasing thing was our "partial ocean view." That part was true... we could see the ocean off to the left... but straight ahead out the window was an employee parking area filled with huge piles of trash, literally... like the hotel's own private dump. Not a very scenic view. - Instead of a coffee maker in the room, they provide you with packets of instant coffee and a gadget for heating water.

Short VacationPosted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: Friendliness of staff. Cleaniness of hotel. Softness of towels. Location to everything:)
Cons: Communication. Fire disgrunted employees. More towels. Better WIFI. Free local calls
Location: Ate at: Hardrock ( down the road a ways --disgusting, not worth the money).... Tony Romas (overall decent).... Capricciosa (VERY GOOD).
Visited during peak season. Stayed in Executive Suite on 7th floor. Overall enjoyed our stay. Have one complaint- one housekeeper- very rude! Overall the staff was friendly, happy, and helpful. Requests/needs were addressed within a timely manner (except the one housekeeping incident.) The Wifi sucks! Location is close to a lot of activities- but not all-- some require a little walking.... Hotel is located across the street from beach. Could have used more towels in the room. Charged for local calls:(

Worst hotel ever!Posted Dec 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Whole area including room inside is terribly humid that combines with dust all around. I've never experienced this much bad conditioned hotel without proper maintenance service. No wifi connection in a room although they give the ID and PW that doesn't work.

Just reasonable hotel..Posted Nov 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
If I come to Guam again, I would like to pay more to stay better hotel like Outrigger or even Marriot.. The room was spacious and easy to get to good restaurants and Kmart but that's all.. Staffs were not very kind or helpful and I have never used the swimming pool..and hardly used Wifi in my room..

If I using a four star price to stay at this hotel my command is very bad, I will not use this price to live here. However I wait they have promote and I am using a discount code to make order. So I have paid less than three star price to stay here then my command is reasonable. Some point I want to highlight: 1. No early check in even early one minute. 2. There have two night I have not hot water.

Needs some renovationPosted Nov 18, 2013
Pros: The room was fine
Cons: Front door. Wi-Fi in the rooms.
The front door needed fixing was the first impression. A nice older hotel that needs to be restored to its former greatness. Room was nice, but the Wi-Fi was very unreliable and needs upgrading. The Wi-Fi in the lower entrance was far better and more reliable than the room. Staff was helpful, but had no idea of what we were asking for. We received a message alert on our room phone. No one knew how to retrieve it. For the military, the USO located in the lower lobby is a very good deal.

Floors were moist and could not walk barefoot. Internet did not work in room even out of peak hours (early morning hours). Building seemed musty and not well ventilated.
