Ready to checked out after first nightPosted Jul 16, 2013
Our stay was very disappointing. Our group was ready to move out after the first night. (but needed to do online through expedia-rotten policy)It was a non-smoking room but clearly the room smelled as if it was smoked in. The bath tub drainage was clogged-reported it to front dest but nothing was done about. There were hidden policies that we only learned on sight. An additional person is $20 dollars a night-okay understood but doesn't that mean it should come with a rollaway bed--oh no, the would cost another $10 a night. -which was not written in the policy. Ridiculous!!!- never again!!!

Worth the money in this pricey neighborhoodPosted Jun 25, 2013
Pros: The in-room WIFI
Cons: Kind of run down but it was clean enough and the employees were nice. I would not call this a family place there is little if nothing for the kids
Location: You can walk to the tourist shopping areas, restaurants & nightclubs but for the price of two taxi rides you can rent a car and enjoy much more
I needed to fly to Guam for some medical exams from a smaller nearby island. After a hotel search I found this place fairly close to the medical center I was going to. The Tumon Bay area is the main tourist/beach area of Guam catering mainly to Asian tourist so many of the hotels are beachfront and pricey. For the money I got what I was looking for basic amenities at a reasonable price and that is exactly what I got. Room WIFI was important to me and this place has it for free and for this part of the world the connection and speed was just fine. If I was coming here for the beach you might want to look a little harder but for shopping or other business this place is OK. All the rooms do have a little private balcony overlooking the bay so a higher floor is best.

Collection and delivery to the airport are likely to be by private taxi associated with the hotel and will cost (island taxis are expensive), and you have to phone from the airport. Hotel is central but isn't one of the main resorts and is up a hill rather than on the beach. Rooms are reasonable though I found the window shades came loose and the air conditioning was stuck in one direction. Everything was clean, there's a small swimming pool and the hotel is next to the island's waterpark. It's quite common to find that there's no one at reception but the rooms do have clocks and TVs. I got an earlier wakeup call than I asked for and there's no need to be at the airport early, but everyone's polite and the accommodation is reasonable, though you're likely to use this hotel as a cheaper base of operations rather than as somewhere to hang out.

Good Hotel that covers the basics.Posted Apr 4, 2013
Pros: Close proximity of beach, restaurants, and shopping.
Cons: Hotel looked "worn down".
Location: Great! See previous comments.
I have read some reviews that this hotel was not a good experience.....I disagree. Sure, it doesn't have all the "bells and whistles" of the 4 and 5 star hotels along the beach, and does have a "worn" look to it. But, The staff was friendly and professional, and the room, as well as lobby were always clean and well maintained. The hotel is within a few hundred yards of the beach, and my room had a view of Tumon Bay.The hotel was half full during my stay(spring break), and most of the other occupants were tourists. I stayed 6 nights. Would definitely stay again.

The room was OK but the bed was the worst. Servicing the room in the 9 days I was there only happened 5 times. If they could improve the service and the beds it would be a good value.

A good hotelPosted Mar 17, 2013
Cons: no restaurant
Location: location is ok but slippery when raining if one wants to walk to eat or shop
This hotel is good but it needs a restaurant where guests can have at least breakfast or dinner or even a small shop that sells basic needs for people.

Staying in Guam's premier resort, Tumon Bay.Posted Feb 16, 2013
Pros: Convenience to everything and friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Hotel was fine, my only issue is mentioned above that being cab fares to the nearby airport.
Location: Very convenient to everything the average tourist wants.
Convenient to shopping and beaches as well as desk staff being helpful and friendly. I believe you mention this in your initial hotel review and quote a price, but for me and indeed others the high taxi fare from hotel to airport puts a little damper on the stay. This is a separate issue and does not reflect on the facilities themselves. The hotel is visable from the airport and just a short downhill ride, yet with a small tip the cost is $25. I visited another island, coming back to the same hotel later on, followed by my final departure, so all in the cab fares were $100. This is very off-putting and would be the only reason I'd be reluctant to choose this hotel again, there are many who charge much less or offer a free ride to the hotel. The Days-Inn is one which I stayed in two years ago. I heard others complain about the cab meter almost spinning as you drive along. To be honest if someone was traveling light the airport is approximately a 15 minute walk. Again I believe this is a separate issue, although the taxi driver is always waiting inside the lobby at any time of day or night, don't know if he's employed there or not.
