Sooo bad. You get what you paid for.... so cheap

Posted Apr 20, 2015
I made this booking as a last minute plan. Staff is kind and polite. the room: horroooor!!....beds are ok.. not so clean, the bathroon was so small... you couldn' t turn around in the shower, the shower curtain was "been hold" by a napkin!!!.. (had to take a picture) towels are yellow (used to be white), mold on the walls and on the bathroom window. Food: breakfast was really good. Lunch just ok Dinner is "a la carte" the hotel is pretty empty so they opened 1 restaurant per night (italian and tex mex). Food was pretty bad. Do not reccommend any of them. They are really understaffed so you see the same people juggling around doing everything. No wet bar 'cause the bartender was tskung care of the upstair bar. Doesn't have gym. Only 1 car to go around the premises (big hills from room to pool/restaurant). It has so much potential... they could charge more and make so much improvements. It is the cheapest hotel in this area.

Very nice beach, but not hotel

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: The nice beach
Cons: The food quality
Location: Very near el Coco
The hotel is in a very nice place mostly the beach. But the food quality are very poor and the bar service even more. The room is an old fashioned style, whit very old tv, control remote does not work well and very poor amenities.

Nice hotel,friendly stuff.Excellent location.

Posted Mar 14, 2015
Pros: Everything,except drinks
Cons: Dated furniture in the room(bldg.9) & TV.
Location: Location great.Nothing what to do around Personally i don't needed(came to relax)
Just come back .Stayed 02/27 - 03/08/2015 Very nice hotel to stay and relax from everything. Hotel located on the hills.Very steep . If you have health problem it will be a problem.(for rest guy's - good workout after buffet) Pool great ,beach with black sand unusual - nice. Water in the pool and ocean warm and clean Wild life around. Food enough and fresh, meat, fish, fruit's are good Drink's-disappointed(may be because of domestic alcohol) Beer - excellent(imperial) Restaurant's(both Italian & Mexican) - don't waste your time( same food or better in buffet) Clean room, hot water whole day,AC worked good, fresh towels and bed sheet's every day. Good service. Fridge was empty from beginning.Probably not working(don't needed) WiFi terrible, you need to fined right spot. A lot of tours to choose from.

In a nut shell

Posted Feb 12, 2015
Pros: Almost all of the rooms have an Ocean View.
Cons: The food
We stayed in one of the lower buildings, we were surprised that we got such a great view as we didn't pay the extra $ for one. The rooms are a bit dated (mainly seen in the showers), but we didn't spend much time in the room. The buffet food was awful.. except in the 2 restaurants The resort is small, so you get to know the other guests and the staff (who are all awesome!). The pool was really nice. Actually, all of the common areas were nice. And clean. There isn't much of a nightlife, but Pablo's bar was lively until 11, and Coco beach isn't too far away. It's not the nicest places we've stayed, but it did the job and we really enjoyed ourselves (probably more so than we have at other places we've stayed).

NICE PEOPLE - NOT SO NICE RESORT

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: The view
Cons: The rooms and the food
Location: Nothing to do nearby - you need a car or taxi and this is expensive
For the most part the staff was nice and friendly except for the girl that checked us in. Did not speak much english and not the kind of person you want to meet after a long flight. Food - not the best - we really believe they serve left overs from the day before becuase the menu at the buffet was pretty much the same every day - except for a dish or two. Resort does not have much - a pool - access to the beach but that's it. When I booked the hotel it showed Wiifii - when we got there wiifii was only in the lobby and at the pool but never worked at the pool area.

Great view but hotel rooms needs some updating.

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: The view
Cons: Food and restaurant hours.
Location: Closest thing was coco beach which was 45 minutes away/$60-$80 taxi ride). Everything else had to be with a tour.
I stayed with my husband and we are both 27 years. Stayed for 5 nights for NYE. Great hotel with amazing view of Papagayo bay. Was a bit disappointed with restaurant and bar hours. There was one main buffet restaurant which closed in between meals... which is okay but snack bar had food that was sitting around all day and it was the same hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos, and the occasional pizza. Overall at the buffet food was okay... the special dinners on NYE and New Years day made the stay. The two restaurants (Italian and Mexican) were much better than buffet so I would recommend making reservations early in the morning. Our hotel room's hot water didn't work at times and our phone also didn't work. I would recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget and not looking for something upbeat (i.e. bars/going into town to meet others). My husband and I would rather stay closer to Coco Beach (taxi is about $60-80 from hotel.... 45 minute ride). Hotel is very secluded from everything else and gift shop was overpriced... we paid $30 for sunblock. Also.... the bar did not open until 10AM. Great hotel for families... we felt very safe.
