“Very comfortable Hotel”

This was our very first "all inclusive" vacation and we were very happy. All of the meals and drinks were very good. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and it met all our needs. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

We had a good time. This was the first place I have every been able to sit by the pool and watch the Monkey's in the trees nearby.

The hotel was an all inclusive hotel. We usually think that the food will be just ok. We were wrong. The food was very good, with a wide variety of choices. The room was very clean and we had no trouble sleeping as well. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is right on the beach and they do a great job maintaining the hotel grounds. We would definately return!

“Can't wait to go back! Absolutely LOVED it!”

We stayed at the Barcelo for just under a week and had a fabulous time. The staff was friendly and hard working and made you feel like you were at home! After going on several excursions and talking with other tourist we got the feel that the Barcelo was the best hotel in Tamarindo. It is close to town, all inclusive, great food and has everything you need in one location. We went for our honeymoon and cannot wait to plan another trip at the Barcelo!

“Enjoyed our trip”

Staff were extremely accomadating and many spoke English quite well. We requested an upgrade to ocean view when we arrived and received the upgrade at no cost. The food was adequate, not spectacular but the wait staff was incrediably nice and efficient. The pool was decent and staff spent a great deal of time keeping the pool and the area around the pool clean. Skip the show, they try, but it really wasn't that great. The casino is small. We both came home with more money than we took into the casino, but we could have spent it elsewhere.

“Great Little Getaway with Friendly Staff”

My husband and I spent 10 days at Barcelo Langosta for our honeymoon. We were very pleased with our experience. The accommodations and facility are lovely; the staff members are always friendly and helpful; and the food provided was always tasty and with great variety. We would definitely stay here again. It should be noted that the hotel is about a 20-25 min. walk from the town of Tamarindo so be aware of this if you are planning to make frequent trips into town for any reason.

Wow, what a wonderful trip I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying on the west coast. The staff was extremely helpful, we had a few college kids next door that liked to come in late (and loud) and because the sunrises around 5:30am this was a slight conflict but the staff moved us immediately. The beach has a few area to swim in, however; surfing is more the activity. And because the river ends into the ocean, this made for some hazard conditions after it rains, but the staff made sure everyone remained in a safe area and with a posted life guard. Don't forget to bring a camera.

“Would go back in a heart beat”

Costa Rica in general is a very beautiful country. Its people is very friendly. 5 days is never enough. I wish on my next trip I can be there at least for 8 days.

“A Perfect Place for a Relaxing Vacation”

Had a wonderful stay at the Barcelo Langosta. Wonderful accommodations: convenient, spacious, with balcony, great service, cleaning and maintenance upon request (our A/C stopped working and when they fixed it it was even better than before it broke). The grounds are beautiful with all the best amenities (spa, gym, bar, outdoor and indoor seating areas). The pool was enormous and allowed people to swim laps or play volleyball, dive, shallow and deep ends, wading pool and jacuzzi. Lounge chairs in the sun and shade. And best of all, property is right on a very secluded beach (no hotels, not crowded). There is a river that flows into the ocean and it is a pleasure to swim in the river and jump in the waves, water temperature is just right (warm enough!). The nightly show put on by the dance group is amazing - very professional. And the meals are delicious, dining room service is also very personalized. It feels like a very safe area, you can walk on the beach or on the main road to downtown (a bit dusty and unpaved, but very local feel). Everything about our stay was a great pleasure!

“Langosta Beach oasis”

We were on our first visit to Costa Rica and we knew the country was rural and unsettled. We did not realize that there would be so many dirt roads and uncharted territory. However, every evening when we returned to the resort, we were happy that we had chosen the Barcelo Langosta Beach hotel. Comfortable, safe, and easy.
