“we´ll be back for sure.”

The hotel was very nice, it seemed to be an old construction but that did not affect the conditions of the facilities as they were very well maintained and the interiors were refurnished so the looked at is best. The views to the ocean from the room were really nice, and the staff was very helpful, though a couple of times they were backed up, as it was crammed with people (because of the holiday season), but at the end they pulled it off. Thanks to the hotel staff for a really nice stay.

“Location, Location, Location”

After spending hours online studying many hotel reviews, we decided to book the Flamingo Beach Resort for our stay in Costa Rica. The hotel property was beautiful, we absolutely loved the pool. The location couldn't have been better. We could hear (and see) the waves crashing on the beach from our balcony. We were within walking distance of several wonderful restaurants and shops. We found someone on the beach who hooked us up with several amazing excursions. The actual hotel room was average. It wasn't very large (but there were four of us in the room, including our kids) and it was a "little bit" dated. I question if the room was thoroughly cleaned before we checked in. But, that being said, I would highly recommend this hotel and I would stay here again. The location was perfect and the property was beautiful. The resort was small enough that I felt we actually got to experience Costa Rica.

“Awesome beach hotel”

Loved this hotel. The staff were always friendly and helpful with making arrangements for us for restarurants, etc. Great breakfast every morning with different food each day! Awesome pool!!! Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Very safe to walk to town with restaruants within walking distance. Only negative: never enough pool towels and very uncomfortable chairs for beach access, which had to be returned each day by 4:30 pm. Fun zipline tour nearby and ATV tour close. Will definitely return!!

“good experience”

hotel and staff were excellant but food not so much. would not recommend the all inclusive. there are a number of very good restaurants in the area. do not rent a car, the cab service will take you anywhere you want much cheaper.

“Would go back tomorrow”

Myself and my partner stayed at the flamingo beach resort and spa for 2 weeks. The hotel was perfect, always clean and tidy, our room was cleaned everyday perfectly. The staff were very friendly and always helpful regardless of the time of day. The food was outstanding-the buffet offered a variety of choices to cater for all, and the meals from the menu were equally as delicious. The hotel is located right on the beach which couldnt have been more beautiful. We would both go back tomorrow if it were possible. An fabulous 2 weeks!!!

“"Can't wait to go back !"”

This hotel was very nice ! The beach is so close and the pool is the best I have ever seen. The staff was amazing and friendly always there with a smile. The rooms are great and the maid was there everyday to clean the room . They do a great job. We rented a car and drove to the grocery store for pop and liquior as its a lot cheaper than the bars at the hotel. The grocery store is just down the road five minutes. I recommend renting a car as you can do more than just staying at the hotel. We never really ate at the hotel the food was a little high in price .We would go down the road to the sodas wich are the small local restaurants and eat and have drinks its alot cheaper. The Pleamar is down the road from the hotel and they are great people and have good food. I cant wait to go back . I really think the Flamingo Hotel is a great place to stay !! PURA VIDA!!!!!

“Relaxing vacation”

We stayed for a week. We had been to costa rica previously and seen some tourist sites, so we were looking for a relaxing beach vacation. We really enoyed the pool. The beach is sandy, although the waves were very strong the week we were there. There is a small road between the hotel and the beach, but it was not an issue. We enjoyed the breakfast, but were glad we did not have all our meals there. Used the hotel transportation ( for a fee) to go out for dinner and some exploring. Also, could walk to a few restaurants. We did have intermittent rain showers, but it was warm so the rain did'n't really matter.

“Very nice all inclusive hotel”

We booked the all inclusive option. We were traveling with our two kid (1 and 3) and went there mainly to go diving. We used the shuttle service from the hotel to pick us up at San Jose airport. The drive is very long, but the driver was very friendly, we had our own car and enough space for all our luggage and stroller. The diving was fun, even if the visibility is not that great, but therefore the fish are a lot bigger than in the Caribbean. The hotel rooms could be a little more updated, but they are clean. The common area is really nice. A big pool with pool bar and a shaded kids pool. From the hotel you pass a dirt road and you are directly at the beach. Very nice, but the waves were a little rough for our kids. The food was nice. For an all inclusive place really great. They had most of the times a nice buffet, but you could also order from the menu. The drinks are nice and of good quality. If you go there to get wasted, you need to start early. While we were there they closed the bar at night mostly around 10:00pm. For us that was OK, as we had to get up every morning at 7:00 am anyhow to get ready for diving. While we went out diving we had a baby sitter from the hotel. She was very nice and the kids loved her. One common thing for the whole staff as for al Ticos in general is how friendly they are. They always have a smile and love live. They were so friendly with our two girls, even if they made a complete mess in the restaurant. Pura Vida.
