Pros: Ambiance, Spa, Golf, Activities
Honeymoon in Costa Rica. Four Seasons provided relaxation, along with fun excursions. Golf course was beautiful. Slept to sound of ocean waves each night. 5 STARS ALL AROUND!!!

Beautiful resort on the peninsulaPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: The location and the staff
Cons: Maybe more expansive menus at the more casual bar / restaurants
Location: We were able to tour a local river, go zip lining, snorkeling, golf, tennis and hiking. There were many things we did not have time to do.
We spent a week during the rainy season (late August) and the grounds were lush with green plants and the weather was more temperate than expected. The staff were very courteous and helpful and the location was beautiful. Access to 2 beaches, several pools, golf and tennis were plentiful and we had a relaxing and wonderful time.

Beautiful resort, two beaches, excellent poolsPosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Attentive staff, beautiful rooms, great layout, overall relaxing.
Cons: Children & families sometimes ignored the signs for the adult pool, causing unnecessary commotion. Also, a minor thing, but they need better coffee!
Location: Not much -- this is a pretty isolated resort. We heard from other guests that there were some neat activities nearby, like the zipline canopy tour.
The resort is nestled between two beaches -- one for quiet lounging and one for activities. The resort features 3 pool areas, including an adults-only pool that overlooks one of the beaches. Howler and capuchin monkeys climb through the canopy above, white-nosed coatis and large lizards sneakily crawl in the bushes (they are harmless, don't worry), and the hotel staff is there to make sure everything is wonderful. For our stay, we barely left the resort. We were there 1 week and left totally relaxed. The spa offers great massages. As for cocktails, if you like "earthy" drinks, I recommend their special "18th on the Green", and as for food, their Italian restaurant was our favorite of the choices.

Four seasons Costa RicaPosted Aug 6, 2013
Hotel was beautiful. Room was lovely. However the food is below average and way overpriced. It was difficult to find a place just to get a diet coke. Also really nothing to do in the evening.

Luxurious hotel in a stunning natural settingPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: I loved the setting, the ocean, the kindness of the staff and the wonderful suite in which we stayed. I've never been in a more luxurious place.
Cons: Everything was very costly. It would have been helpful if the hotel shop carried basic breakfast foods since it is so difficult to get into town.
Location: There is a great place to go zip-lining near the hotel.
My husband, teenage boys and I spent five nights in a one-bedroom suite at the Four Seasons in mid-July. They loved having a golf course right on the premises, and it was a treat to see the iguanas, monkeys and pizotes from the golf carts. Having the ocean so close by was a plus - we could sunbathe, swim and kayak to our heart's content. The rooms were kept very clean, and the food was good. If it were not for the setting, however, it might have been difficult to remember we were in Costa Rica - the hotel grounds are so far removed from the local people and Costa Rican life.

Pros: Two beaches and the sunset watching experience the variety sports classes, the pool and the Bar!
Cons: More transportation to the city or local beaches vs. paying over $200
From the property to staff and facilities to beach crew to tennis experience. All in all the most relaxing experience with the family. There's something for everyone..
