Heaven in Costa RicaPosted Aug 5, 2014
Difficult to describe in words the beauty of this resort. Besides a great location, each guest is treated like royalty. I have visited many ritzcarlton properties which are beautiful but the service here is extraordinary. Anything you ask for is granted like a magic genie. If you can afford it, gooooooo.

Perfect location!!!Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Everything but location and service stand out
Location: Explore the resort and take the concierge's advice depending on your stay time and energy level
It is a great place for couples and families. With two beaches and a golf course around the property, you have a lot to do.

Our own slice of paradisePosted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: The service is what I expected from a Four Seasons, but the extra little touches - cold towels, the staff using our names - made it even more special.
Cons: The only thing, and it's really nit-picky, is that the bathroom towels could be thicker and more plush. But that's it!
Location: The location is just about perfect. We were looking for something remote, and this was definitely it. But not so bad that we couldn't do other things.
We just got back from a week-long stay in a Canopy One-Bedroom Suite at this fantastic hotel. What I've always liked about Four Seasons hotels is that they are luxury without pompousness, and that was exactly what we found here. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, our experience was nothing but first-class. The staff is extremely professional, but also very friendly. We spent each morning at the Blanca pool, and after the first morning, the staff remembered our names, what kind of water we liked, and what we had talked about the day before. The restaurants were fantastic (our dinner at Di Mare is one of the best we can remember having), the excursions/adventures that we went on created life-long memories, and I would definitely return to the resort in the future.

Beautiful treehousePosted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Beautiful views, clean rooms, friendly staff.
Cons: Restaurants and food choices
Location: I would definitely recommend the rafting trip. It was a lot of fun. I would not recommend going to the nearby beach.
My family and I spent 6 days at the Four Seasons Papagayo Resort in Costa Rica. It was one of my favorite vacations of all time. The resort was very well kept and the suites were clean. We stayed in a beautiful treehouse suite. The service was outstanding as was the entire staff. The only area where we were slightly disappointed was the food/restaurants. Although they were nice for a day or two, they need more options. Some of the dishes were incredibly small for the price. A few times we left dinner and went back to the room to order room service. I would definitely recommend exploring the area...the volcano, rainforest, and waterfall were must see. My favorite activity was the RCR Rafting tour....skip Coco Beach as it was a bit sketchy.

Magnifique!Posted May 6, 2014
Pros: The service, location of our suite, the views, the sunset, but most all the wonderful people. Wish we could name them all, Pascal is doing a great job
Cons: The decor of the rooms, a more modern chic look would further enhance the experience and gorgeous views. The pool areas could use a spruce of color.
Location: Location was secluded, but plenty to do...perfect for R&R which is exactly what we were looking for. Must go zip lining.
From the moment that we arrived at the hotel the service was impeccable. The staff was incredibly hospitable and the lobby was lovely.

Monkeys outside the window overlooking the ocean.Posted Mar 31, 2014
Cons: More yoga classes and better hotel transer prices.
Location: Not far from Coco beach but otherwise isolated.
Great room, service and experience. Fitness center and classes were solid. Tried to overcharge way too much for airport transfers. Some services are better found outside the hotel. Loved the cooking class and Issys tour to zip line adventure.

Nice stay and friendly peoplePosted Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Very pleasant from the moment you step off the plane or enter. Very open hotel area so you feel the ocean breeze all around.
Cons: Shuttle from the airport should be complimentary. Room showers are a little tricky to use.
Location: Beaches are beautiful, but not great for snorkeling. Most external activities are good, but you will spend a good amount of time traveling for them.
Staff is outstanding. They will do anything possible to make your stay wonderful. All rooms seemed to have a great view, regardless of how they are classified. The pool staff and surf shop staff were extremely helpful in getting you set up for either relaxing or an activity. Take the time to visit the Preista Beach house as well, separate from the four seasons, but they have a share agreement.
