Wonderful!

Posted Jul 15, 2014
The hotel was a few minutes walk outside of the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo. It was close enough to the beach and everything we wanted to do without being in the middle of the noise, especially at night. The room was updated and clean and the amenities were very nice. The staff, including the owner Richard, was friendly and helpful. The only thing I could complain about were the pillows, they were a little lumpy, but otherwise our stay was fantastic and I would definitely choose this hotel again if we return to Tamarindo! The restaurant at the hotel was also fantastic!

The hotel was perfect for our stay. Close walking distance to town but not right in the madness. Loved it.

Great place to stay

Posted May 3, 2014
Pros: private, quaint, good staff, good restaurant, reasonable prices
It is not super fancy, but it is a very good place to stay. It was quiet and very comfortable. We loved the hammock outside our room. It was only a five minute walk to beach and main drag. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You should eat at the restaurant (the Seasons) that is associated with the hotel. We ate there two nights - great quality food at reasonable prices. We would likely stay here again if we went back to the area.

Just the perfect spot to get away.

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable, and small. We have stayed in many large all-inclusive resorts, and this small hotel beats them hands down. Very relaxing.
Cons: Wi-fi worked most of the time, but signal a little weak. Would be nice to be able to buy a drink by the pool during the day.
Location: Not beach front, but just a short 5-7 min walk to beach and town. Pleasant walk, we probably made the trip 4 times some days.
Richard, Coco, and all the staff were amazing. Always close by if needed to assist, but not invasive. Easy check-in, felt like visiting family. Our room was on the end #12, and we work each morning to have coffee on the porch while enjoying watching the large group of howler monkeys in the trees eat the mangoes, and swing from the trees. Basic rooms, but great for the price. Clean, and all that we needed as we spent most of out time wandering the town, at the beach, or on excursions. Small pool to swim in, or just relax at the hotel if you wanted to rest for a while. Very quiet at night. If you want night life, just walk towards town, again 5-7 minutes and you have all you want. It was great having the included breakfast daily. Basic stuff, coffee, fruit, yogurt, and omelets, but a good way to start your day. We will return again.

Great place for relaxing in Tamarindo

Posted Mar 26, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms, relaxing atmosphere and beautiful property. This hotel was in a quiet area but only a short walk to the beach.
Cons: Nothing!
Location: About a 5 minute walk from Tamarindo Beach and Langosta Beach. Close to many shops and restaurants.
My boyfriend and I just got back from a 5 night stay at Hotel Arco Iris. Richard and his staff were very friendly and accomodating. They were very helpful with arranging daily activities like day trips around Costa Rica, surfing classes, and catamaran tours. We stayed in a bungalow, at first us city slickers were unnerved by all the sounds of the fauna outside, but after our first night this place became a calming retreat from an afternoon at the beach and all the other activities Costa Rica has to offer. We were even able to catch the occasional iguana and howler monkey from our porch! Clean rooms, beautiful property and I definitely wouldn't sleep on dinner at Seasons by Schlomy's! This will be our top pick for our next visit to Costa Rica!

The hotel is very well located, the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The buffet breakfast is good but the choice of meel is limited. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.

Nice boutique hotel in heart of action

Posted Mar 9, 2014
It's not on the beach but, right in the action with other hotels and resturants in Tamanindo. Your walk to the beach is a realistic 10 min from the hotel. The resturant at the hotel is fabulous although a little pricy. This is not an exaggeration. It's not highly polished with service and amenities like the 4 seasons but it was friendly and adiquate.

Tamarindo

Posted Mar 4, 2014
Location: Good location you can walk to the beach and restaurants. Tamarindo offers a wide variety of activities, restaurants, shops, etc.
Not a great hotel, don't expect too much. breakfast very disappointing. Pool is very little. On the positive side the room was clean.

Confortable hotel near the beach

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: The room were nice and comfortable and were quite at nigh.
Location: Near the beach and the "shopping district" without the crowd.
The Arco Iris lived up to its reputation as botique hotel with an unique look and upscale rooms. The friendliness of the staff was apparent from the first when "Gabby" took us on a tour of the grounds to explain where things were and to introduce us to the staff and mascot, a rather large iguana.:-)
