“Fantastic Hotel - Just wish it was closer to local towns and people”
The hotel was wonderful! Beautiful, nice people, etc. But you NEED to rent a car, because the hotel is not in walking distance of anything. The hotel is perfect as long as you rent a car...
“Great hotel”
I was there during Christmas and the place was all decked out with many colorful lights on the trees. The ocean is right there as well as a very nice pool. The staff was great attending to our needs. The restarant had pretty decent food.
“Great hotel”
This is the third time we have stayed there and have enjoyed it each time. The rooms and the grounds are very nice. The pool area is beautiful. We also have really enjoyed the food there. The staff is so very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.
“The sea, in the courtyard of your room.”
Excellent hotel location, both geographically and internal distribution. Incredible attention in the wet bar, and generally very friendly staff. Rooms very comfortable, and the sea, literally, in the courtyard of the room. Excellent!
“very nice place”
I never do surveys.however I wanted to do this one.We used surveys on sites such as expedia and trip advisor before making a choice to stay at casa conde and those surveys were right on.This place is spread out ,not like the resorts where you are stacked on top of each other.we had a junior suite that was very comfortable, large bathroom with jacuzzi tub and large shower. The grounds are kept up very well, jungle type setting.Very large trees with various types of birds, iguanas and monkeys.the pool is by far the largest of any we saw at other resorts that we passed on our trip.We spoke with another couple that took a water taxi to casa conde to spend the day ,they were staying at occidential grand papagayo, they were so impressed with the resort much more than where they were staying. Also the staff, melvin the trip coordinator what a great guy.antionio bartender at the pool bar, funny ,very knowledgable about the area and fishing.eduardo bartender had a great time also what a killer sangria.Overall never had a bad thing to say about this resort oh yea, the breakfast is buffet style with freshly made omelets.I have never had plantain before, new favorite. The only thing about the whole area is that all hotels are very spread out,no stores within walking distance. The cab fare is 20 bucks to and from Coco the closest town about 20 minutes away from casa conde. The airport in Liberia is about 30 min.and 50 bucks. We would definately stay their again if we visited the guancaste area again.
“nice”
Great hotel with beutiful grounds, nice large rooms
“Paradise”
Paradise! Small, only 26 'rooms. All one story scattered around pool. Secluded setting. Direct beach access. Quiet cove. Great service, tours arranged to taste. Activities. restaurant . Wildlife onsite! LOVED it. Would go again and again. Countryside is stunning. We did sunset sailing /snorkelling tour; horseback riding, zip-lining/spa tour/ Nicaragua tour/ river wildlife viewing tour: crocs, monkeys, birds, a zillion creatures! kayaking, jet-ski. The staff are 'the best'
“Nice hotel, nice amenities, great staff”
Quick review: 1) hotel staff were great 2) make sure you get a room by the pool unless you're on your honeymoon. The junior suite that I had was pretty far from the main hotel, pool and beach. 3) the restaurant was overpriced and primarily offered Italian food. Why???? I love Costa Rican food. 4) pool bar has somewhat limited choices and hours 5) hotel is located on Papagayo gulf which is quiet, gentle and provides for good boating and snorkeling 6) great bird and animal watching right at the hotel
“Nicely manicured landscaping - good beach and pool”
I stayed at the Four Seasons across the bay for a business conference the 3 nights prior. There is no comparison. But for a true Costa Rican experience, this little place is really nice. The rooms are basic and could use some sprucing up and a deep clean, but fine for a place to sleep. The restuarant and bar were fine. The open air experience makes you feel like you are part of nature. The landscaped grounds are beautiful. I would stay there again.
“Good hotel to get relaxed”
More than reasonable hotel with good breakfast. You can kill your time at pool or beach in front of the hotel. Convenient location for day trips to popular spots in northern part of Costa Rica, while far from restaurants and shops. You need a renta car. Internet situations were very bad, even from computers at business center of the hotel.
