Beautiful hotelPosted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: The rooms, pools and property! Price was pretty good for being all-inclusive.
Cons: Hospitality to the Americans. Desserts.
Location: Great location. Not too far from Liberia airport. Went to The Monkey Bar which was a nice walk down the beach. some excursions close by, others were n
It was a very beautiful hotel with nice pools and luscious property. Rooms were immaculate. Loved the endless supply of liquor in the room. Beach was nice. Not white sand which made it different. Did not like the pushy locals trying to sell excursions as we stepped onto the beach. The shows were pretty good. The casino was small. Appreciated the hotel having photographers there to take pictures. Pretty reasonable. The food in the several restaurants were decent, except the desserts seemed like they were frozen then thawed. Almost stale. The Italian restaurant was amazing! The hospitality could of been better. They seemed rude because you spoke English. Overall very nice and would recommend.

Greatest Riu PalacePosted Sep 14, 2014
We visited for nine nights and wish it were 90. Hotel facilities were excellent. Staff fantastically friendly, you couldn't get past the staff with a Hola. Six pools and the beach very close. We enjoyed the amenities, restaurants, and facilities. This place is really a keeper.

5 star All-Inclusive resortPosted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: pool, bbq by the pool, food and staff. Incredible dessert. I wish I can upload the video of the dessert station.
Cons: Afternoon between 12:30 to 4:00pm time seems very quite. Group activities such as interactive game shows etc.. can bring afternoon energy
Location: 5 hr. Sunset cruise was simply breath taking.

Great HotelPosted Sep 7, 2014
First time in Costa Rica and this hotel made our vacation unforgettable! The staff was very attentive and very friendly! The food and drinks were good. The shows at night, casino, and night club were boring, so if you are looking for party atmosphere this is not the place for you. Overall I can honestly say that this hotel is awesome and I will definitely come back in the near future!!

RoyalsPosted Sep 4, 2014
Staying at the Riu palace was the most amazing experience of my life. This isnt hyperbole, I just haven't been on my vacations of this quality. Lack of experience notwithstanding my wife and i had a wonderful time at this resort. The envirnoment is beautiful though the lobby gets quite warm and humid during the day, this was only an issue when we arrived several hours prior to check in and had to wait. The staff was very outgoing and friendly. Some of the waiters and bartenders even remembered our names and drink orders. The beach was relaxing but had few waves and the pools were not over crowded. Each day offered several opportunities to participate in events and tourmaments that were all entertaining. Each evening both hotels had a show and live music. The shows were very funny and entertaining but not for children. We had a Jr suite with an ocean view tjat was truly amazing. Each afternoon wr returned to beautiful towel origamy and a restocked minibar. The only slightly negative incident was returning early from the beach to find that someone on staff had helped themself to a beer from the mini fridge and our leftovers from breakfast. Very bizzare.

Excellent Hotel.Posted Sep 2, 2014
Cons: The open hallways and breezeways allow very small bugs to enter the rooms. Need to periodically spray the base of the floor in each room.
Location: Great excursions but most of them are too far from the hotel.
This was a very clean hotel. Would definitely stay here again. Very good food with multiple restaurants on site to choose from. Staff was very friendly.

Beautiful hotel near the beachPosted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly. Hotel layout is beautiful. Food was tasty and plentiful.
Cons: Room was not designed for a family with a teenager. No separate bathroom, double beds were attached.
Location: Location was great, right off of the beach. Nothing nearby. It is a long drive to get out of the area and close to any shopping.
We enjoyed our stay at the Riu Palace in Costa Rica. Hotel grounds were very clean, pool was clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. Vendors on the beach were a bit overwhelming and annoying at times trying to get you to book excursions with them rather than with the hotel.

Wonderful pleasant resortPosted Aug 31, 2014
Location: Good location, not bad from airport distance. 20-30minutes
It is a comfy special place to relax and enjoy yourself for a couple of days. Their coffee is delicious! The food was good filled with a variety of choices. One con is that the tequila bottle or bottles in General were almost empty and we're not restocked.
