“Across from the beach.”
This is a small hotel with about 8 rooms in total. It is owned by a couple who are originally from the US. If you are looking for a low-key stay, next to the beach Playa Grande is a wonderful place and the Rip Jack Inn was a great place to stay!
“Best hotel of our trip!”
Peaceful, beautiful and relaxing! An awesome place, with great staff. Playa Grande was an awesome experience and the RipJack Hotel was just perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful, the place was clean and well maintained - just across a driveway to the beach... absolutely beautiful! The food was gourmet ... great, cool cook from Colorado... the best food of our entire trip! No problems with theft, good security and located in a great area. The staff were long term employees - obviously enjoyed working for the hotel, and committed to providing guests with a great experience. I recommend this place unconditionally to anyone.

This was our second trip to Playa Grande, My wife and I both love the Ripjack and will contine to stay there when we come to PG. Thanks RipJack.
“Ripjack Inn very nice”
Playa Grande is very famous for surfers. It is also famous for turtle nesting sites. We visited in March 2010 but got there too late in the season to see the turtles. It is recommended you arrive in December or January to see them. March is too late. Very beautiful area. Easy access to the beach - only a short walk. Beautiful sunsets! Swimming was good in March. The inn was comfortable, if not fancy. Shower and water pressure were adequate. Room was nice and include an outside hammock. Food at the resturant was good - again, if not fancy. The view (from the second floor) from the resturant was divine. Ripjack was a good value for the money - not overpriced in any way. The staff was unobtrusive, helpful and always friendly. We only stayed one night but I would have stayed longer.
“A wonderful "Get away from it all" inn”
We absolutely loved this inn! Annie and Dave (the owners) took care of everything. Yoga in the morning. Surfing. And amazing sunsets. We ate at the restaurant every morning, afternoon, and most evenings. The mahi-mahi fish tacos are AMAZING! This place is really the perfect place if you want a quiet, low-budget escape and enjoy surfing, beach and yoga!
