Great place! Great location!

We were very pleased with the hotel and the ocean view was beautiful. We watched the surfers from our own balcony. So glad we did NOT choose an all inclusive. The hotel food was awesome....however, there are so many outatnding restaurants and bars within walking distance from the hotel. Plenty of shopping too! We were suprised how reasonable the prices were as well.

Pros: the view
Cons: size of bathroom
once again, a great stay. This is our second return to Tamarindo Diria. Only disappointment was the size of the room this stay. We could barely move around each other and the bath was very tiny. Food and service were great. easy walking distance to everything. They even have umbrellas for you when it rains.

Perfect Location

Pros: The staff was always corteous and wanting to help. The landscape is beautiful and well maintained.
Cons: Breakfast is wonderful but the rest of the food needs improvement. A little music and entertaiment would help too.
Location: Plenty of tours and activities to do in Guanacaste.
Beach front close to restaurants and other activities in Tamarindo. Perfect if you are a surfer, easy drive to Playa Negra and Avellana.

Pros: The beach
Cons: The ladies making eggs. MEAN, EVERYDAY!
Location: Great location on the beach. If you want to travel its always 2-4 hour drive.
We had an amazing trip to tamarindo diria. The hotel was just as the website showed. Very pleased. We stayed on the beach side and was totally worth the upgrade. The sunsets were beautiful every night. The breakfast buffet was nice. So great to wake up and walk down to free breakfast. Most of the staff was so nice and helpful. The ladies at the egg station however were very mean. They actually talked about us which was stupid because we speak spanish. Whatever they didnt like americans. Everyday they were mean!!!! The hotel was very well kept and very inviting from the moment you walk in. The road was busy but they always have someone out there to direct traffic so you can cross safely. The pool was so relaxing. We charged most of our meals and drinks to our room number and was pleasently surprised to get the bill... was not bad at all. No hair dryer in the room but asked the front desk and they delivered one right away. We decided to rent a car instead of paying for tours and it was so worth it. The roads are a bit crazy and you really have to watch out for people day or NIGHT walking on the roads. It was nice to do what we wanted in our own time frame.

Pros: The shady pool and breakfast and concierge desk
Cons: Wedding music going late
Location: Easy to get to the beach, shopping, dining and surfing. About an hour from Liberia airport
They keep this hotel immaculate! The staff are friendly and helpful. We had room across the street which was very near the adult pool and a large shady pool. Did not feel we were missing out by not being directly in front of beach. Walk is very short. My only complaint is they hold weddings near these rooms and one night the DJ went on until 11pm and we had to leave for airport at 2am. The concierge desk staff are very helpful. Definitely do the Palo Verde tour. Juan Carlos, the guide is awesome. Breakfast is great with lots of variation. The hotel is right in the middle of town and within easy walking distance of restaurants and shopping. We visited in the middle of April it wasn't very busy which was great with us. We would highly recommend this resort!

Spent two nights at Diria Beach and had a wonder time. We had an ocean front room so the sunsets from our balcony were superb. Breakfast buffet was great, with a wonderful selection of fresh fruit. Would stay there again on another trip.

Pros: Friendly staff and clean AC rooms
Cons: Not enough activities within the hotel
Location: Easy to step outside of hotel and explore. Laid back.
A close friend was getting married in Costa Rica and they were a lot of us staying at the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us and meet our needs. There was abundant amount of delicious breakfast options each morning. The hotel is also surrounded by many small shops and restaurants which gives you a chance to explore and talk to the locals. We were hoping they had some live performances or shows. We manage to find some outside the hotel at some local restaurants. The area is laid back and still developing. Overall, a great fun and relaxing experience, would definitely go back!! Pura Vida!

Really good hotel

Pros: Breakfast and pools.
Cons: Uncovered window with privacy issues in the bathroom.
This is a great hotel very close to the beach. One half is on the beach and the other is across the road, so we were surprised when we had to cross the street. Breakfast buffet if outstanding! The three pools were great, but you will find a lot of floaties from the trees. We were given a room with two double beds instead of the 1 king we requested, but they gave us another room with the king once I produced proof. They said that Expedia only confirms the number of people and not the requested bed, so be careful. I was also disturbed that my bathroom had a window to the outside that had no curtain to cover. Not only were there stairs that could see down, but a security camera was right outside as well. I had to take my floor towel and use my luggage tags to stick it to the wall and cover. The beach was great and everyone was friendly. The wireless signal is not to strong in certain rooms, so we needed to go to the front lobby sometimes to connect. I would go back to this hotel again if I return to the area despite the bathroom window and room confusion. It was in the center of everything and had great access to the beach.
