“CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK..”

THE FOOD WAS PLENTIFUL,NOT LIKE OURS BUT IT SHOULD BE DIFFERENT IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY,WE HAD A GREAT TIME ON TOURS,WHICH CAN BE BOOKED IN THE HOTEL,SO SEEN THE COUNTRY, VOLCANO-OCEAN-RAIN FOREST-OCEAN--MOUNTAINS-OCEAN!!! LOVE IT!

“Perfect Resort for our Honeymoon”

This was our first time to Costa Rica, and the hotel & resort provided the PERFECT atmosphere for relaxation! It was the PERFECT getaway & the weather was great...we enjoyed all of the amenities & especially LOVED the All Inclusive meals & drinks. The balcony view from our hotel room was BREATHTAKING -- BEAUTIFUL sunsets!! We spent a lot of time relaxing on the balcony, looking out at the wonderful view of the bay. And everyday, we took advantage of the delicious food at Villas Sol hotel (La Bahia Restaurant)...it was absolutely AMAZING!

“I plan on another stay in the future”

I have been to Costa Rica many times in the past 8 years, but this was the first time in the Guanacaste area. The Villa Sol Resort was very nice and the accomodations were great from the room to all the fine buffet style meals in the restaurant. There was also plenty to drink and eat at the nice pool with the swim up bar along with the activities.

“Amazing Time!”

I went to Villas Sol with two of my girl friends, we stayed at the hotel near the pool. We had an amazing, relaxing time! Food was great, views are spectacular and stuff is very friendly. I've been to lot of luxurious hotels in various places in the world. This hotel is not a 5 star but it certainly is a 4 star, hotestly speaking who cares when you have those views, good food and good people around you. Hotel was very clean as well too. HFor the price that we paid and value we got I highly recommend it. I will certainly go back!

“great stay”

We stayed in the hotel portion of this resort. Our room was comfortable and seemed to have been recently renovated. Buffet food was pretty good for an all-inclusive, drinks were strong, staff were super friendly, recommend to anyone looking for an affordable all-inclusive resort.

“Has the Best View”

The villas were big and the view was amazing. The food could have been better.

“Nice resort”

It is a nice resort. The ground is beautiful but I am not impressed with the Beach. You wouldn't want to find walk over the dirt to get to the beach. We rather stay by the poole which is wonderful with the swim up bar. The staff is very friendly and most speak English. The food and drink is decent. Don't expect gourmet food at the buffet but there is plenty and the fruit and salad are very fresh. The pineapples are amongst the best I have tasted. Try to get special restaurent which is great but you need reservation and seats are very limited. We stayed in the hotel buiding which was newly renovated. Very spaces and clean. The only thing is that there didn't seem to have enough hot water. If we were lucky, we get a bit of luke warm water. It might be because they are still doing renovation of the next section of the hotel building. There is a couple tour agents in the hotel buiding during the day. Swiss Travel is wonderful, the mega Canopy tour combo is a must! All and all, we had a great time in Costa Rica.

“Z, New York”

This hotel is definitely not a 4! The staff definitely make your stay pleasant! Adrian the bartender a big asset to the hotel! The activity directors were motivating...The food offered needs to be improved in variety and taste! The liquor will fall in the same catergory also! Improve the liquor and food offered and the other shortcomings may be overlooked. The location of the property is a jewel in the mountain. However, the hotel needs a big uplift! All in all it was an enjoyable stay! I would recommend people try it for themselves!

“Will not stay again in this hotel”

Here are the problems with this hotel: - service staff is not resposive; - the room might not be cleaned until late afternoon and the quality of cleaning is below average; - water pressure in the bathroom is very low and there is no really hot water, just warm... However, location of the hotel is very good, all rooms are with ocean view.

“Most of these reviews are accurate, approach with caution”

This resort wasn't able to come through on some of the things that were advertised. They advertised kayak, snorkling, mountin bikes, watercraft, mopeds but they all had a "catch". The snorkeling and kayaks were not free rentals. You would have to schedule a day in advance for a mediocre one hour tour at a certain time of the day (8am). This was the same for the snorkeling. This was the most disappointing thing because this was one of the main attractions for me. It was NEVER free to go snorkeling or kayaking by yourself. The food was cheap buffet stlye, not satisfying for a resort (many things on this trip lead me to believe that Costa Rican standards are not comparable to US standards). They had another resaurant that gave the appearance that the food quality was better, but only by a little. The ambiance was very nice and it was a good break from the "cafeteria". Another let down was that you were only able to go once. THE SUMMARY If you go you should set your expectations low and be prepared to be surprised by things that arent included in the "all-inclusive". (Don't make local phone calls because you will be billed) I would not reccomend staying in the hotels. If I was to do it again I would have stayed in the Villa's and not paid for the food on resort. On a good ending note, the resort and country side were beautiful. The beaches are nice.
