“lovely resort despite renovations”

This hotel was recently bought by Westin, and is undergoing extensive renovations. That being said, the renovations did not affect the quality of our stay one bit. The food was very good, room was pretty big and very comfortable, pool area was beautiful, service was great, beach was amazing.

“Relaxation galore”

The all inclusive package in the royal towers is awesome! Includes all food, alcohol, in room fridge contents, wifi, 24 hr room service and an adult only pool with swim up bar. The grounds are nice, room comfy, great beach location and several restaurants to choose from as well. Highly recommend , would definitely go back

“Nice Time”

I had an amazing time and the staff were very accommodating. The food was good just would have like more choices but things were closed because it was their low season. I really enjoyed my trip overall.

“Fun Family all Inclusive”

Our family of four (kids ages 10 & 13) had a fun time at this hotel the first week in April. We took advantage of the helpful concierge to make dinner reservations before arrival. When we did get there, she helped get us a great room by the pool and ocean in the villas. This all inclusive had great activities for adults and kids (we didn't use the Kids Center, just the Activities center by the pool) like ping pong, billiards, origami, water aerobics, biking, and more. I especially recommend the cocktail, tequila and coffee tasting! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice. There was a nice variety at the buffet, and we loved the restaurant by the pool; great ceviche. Watch out for very rare beef - my husband got sick one night and we think it was due to that. Unfortunately when we were there it was red tide, so we couldn't swim in the ocean. The beach is public, so be prepared for vendors to hit you up when you leave the Westin property.

“Kudos for the Westin Conchal Resort”

Fantastic hotel, I felt the all inclusive model here was very good, now to be honest, it was a better experience given that I am a gold SPG member, it has a few more benefits that make a different, a seperate pool, a seperate restaurant, a concierge for SPG members and premiun alcoholic bevarages

“A lot of fun and a great get away”

I was looking for a place where I could relax and not have to worry about the details, and this place fit the bill perfectly. 1) The rooms - well kept and clean. There was daily maid service along with evening turn down service. 2) The food - I went with all inclusive. There are about 7 different restaurants with a different focus for each one. Families tend to eat earlier in the evening, while those without small children tend to eat later. None of the food was excellent, however, it wasn't terrible either. It's what I would say upper end cruise line level. 3) The beach - it's okay. The sand had a lot of shells and the locals tend to try and sell you stuff as you relax. They are nice and not pushy about it, but they do come up to you with a fair amount of frequency. 4) The pools - there are two pool areas. One focuses on adults, while the other is for everyone. The one for adults tends to have mellow music and fairly attentive staff. The other pool has loud music, people horsing around, and general fun. Both are pleasant, just depends on what you're in the mood for. 5) The local area - the town they run a shuttle to is called Tamarindo. It's about 20 minutes away. It's very focus on surfing. Bring a towel and bathing suit, and be prepared to surf if you go there during the day. In the evening, there is a casino and a fair number of bars as well. It's not a stand out town, but pleasant. 6) Excursions - they can be booked through the hotel.

“Great experience....we loved it!!”

Overall my experience at this resort was excellent. I would absolutely recommend this place. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The specialty restaurants were all much better than other all-inclusive resorts that I have stayed. I really enjoyed the food and the people that I spoke to also said good things about them. However, the buffets were worse than the other all inclusive places. Stay away from the buffets whenever you can but ,again, the specialty restaurants were all great!! The beach was solid but nothing special and surprisingly there was no bar on the beach. That was a bit annoying. The disco at night was a lot of fun and we met a lot of people there. The things that make this resort very good is the beauty of the resort, the quality of the restaurants, and the superb service of the staff.
