Such a beautiful place, impeccable, antonieta the owner was super friendly and helpful. The amenities are beyond what you would expect... Free calls to US, hundreds of free movies and Apple TV, snacks, ear plugs, every detail is thought of. Oh and an amazing home cooked breakfast!!

Lovely B&B Overlooking San Miguel de Allende

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: View of the city; Comfortable, clean room; Great decor; Yummy breakfast; Nice amenities; Close to downtown, Botanical Gardens & restaurants/shopping.
Cons: Parking...the owner could have told us to park on the city streets & walk, instead of paying to park in a garage that was extremely difficult to reach
Location: Downtown, Cathedral, Parks, Botanical Gardens, Museums, Shopping, Restaraunts
My husband and I stayed at Antigua Capilla for a weekend birthday celebration and had a very nice experience. The grounds were beautifully decorated, and the rooms were pristine, spacious and comfy. There is a wonderful overlook of the city from the roof, complete with swings and tables to relax. The complementary breakfast was also great. Additionally, the B&B offers in-room massages and a refrigerator full of drinks, including their own locally-brewed brand of cerveza (at an extra charge, of course). A few words of warning, though: expect to walk a lot, as this hotel is located on a decently-sized hill; also, if you happen to drive, I don't recommend paying to park in the B&B garage! It's very difficult to reach (many tight turns, through narrow, bumpy roads), and there were many free and more easily-accessible parking spots within walking distance.

Privado y acogedor.

Posted Jun 4, 2015

Pros: Everything
Cons: It's all perfect
Location: Location is an uphill walk from town, but it's a short one.
The hotel exceeded our expectations. Great owners, great people, great food, very clean, and quiet.

Simply amazing property with friendly, gracious owners and staff. Comfortable rooms with all amenities. Rooftop with amazing views. Freshly cooked breakfast with a changing menu every day - delicious! We felt like we were at home. Located in the hills residential area, so walking is a bit lengthy. Taxis are available all the time though (30-50 pesos).

The most elegant B & B in San Miguel de Allende

Posted Mar 3, 2015 on Hotels
The bed and breakfast was probably the most elegant and nicest one I've ever stayed in. The architectural design, furnishings, and decorations were beautiful. The quality of the place extended into the design and beautiful decorations in the room. We loved the roof top terrace for watching the sunset every day. The terrace on our floor, which happened to be right outside our room, was nice for gathering with another couple for drinks. The owners speak perfect English (as they both grew up in the US) and were very helpful in providing any information we needed. We chose to take a taxi into town every day which were very inexpensive and convenient. The town square and surrounding shops and restaurants were local types that had nice items reasonably priced and good food. The next time we come to San Miguel de Allende we'll definitely stay at Antigua B & B.
