The staff was incredibly accommodating, the room and facilities modern and immaculate. Have already highly recommended it to friends who are thinking of visiting guanajuato. Hotel is located a bit out of the central zone, however it is a really nice morning walk and a quick, inexpensive cab ride back in the evening.

First, but hopefully not the last visitPosted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: We were able to get a good night's rest without a problem. The restaurant staff was excellent; they catered to our needs.
Cons: Earlier check in time. We arrived early, my mother was not feeling well, and had to wait until 3pm to get a place to rest.
Location: It's away from the noisy downtown. There is a super market in the shopping center, which is very convenient.
Guanajuato is a beautiful city to which I hope to visit again soon. I live in LA, was visiting family in Zamora Michoacan, and decided to take a bus and experience touring this city which I had heard so much about. We purchased a tour of the city at the bus stop for about $15 dollars. We were a little nervous about getting it, but it was an excellent tour on a clean and comfortable, air conditioned van. The tour does not include the cost of entrance to some of the museums, but they are fairly inexpensive. I recommend it. We arrived on a Saturday morning, had to wait till 3pm to check into the hotel which was an inconvenience. Once we got our room, we took a taxi to downtown. The taxi experience was like the Disney Indiana Jones ride. Our driver drove so fast, non-stop, through the underground tunnels that at times it seemed as thought we were going to straight onto a wall and then turned last minute to drive into another tunnel. We were glad to make it out alive. Once downtown, we walked the artsy streets. It does not take long to walk the whole place, so it's okay to take your time. The place is full of tourists, this helps to not make you feel out of place. The locals are very kind and friendly. We were able to visit the Diego Rivera house museum. It was nice, if you are a fan, it is a must. Next time, I am hoping to arrange my visit so that I am able to see a performance at the theater and take a tour to San Miguel de Allende.

Pleasant hotelPosted Aug 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Agreeable. The wi-fi worked well in my room on the second floor, but not so well on higher floors. The restaurant was good. The desk space was good. Reading light was OK but not great.

Nice hotel that is not within walking distancePosted Aug 3, 2013
Pros: The staff and manager. The room was a good size one.
Cons: Make sure there is someone checking the floors after 11:00 pm so tv's are not blasting in the rooms.
Location: Take a taxi to go anywhere
You need to take a taxi to the center of town. It is fine if you have a car. Our room had a terrible smell. We assume it was a sewer problem. The hotel staff were very responsive but could not fix the Internet that was down 90% of the time we were there. Hopefully they will find and fix the smell problem.

Good inexpensive hotelPosted Jul 26, 2013
Pros: I did like having a kitchenette.
Cons: If possible improve the TV reception. It may not be possible because of the location.
Location: Sotlriana grocery is located across the parking lot. It is easy to ride the bus or cab downtown.
T single room is spacious to include a kitchenette, with frig, microwave and sink. There is a Soriana grocery across the parking lot. I was disappointed there were no windows. The staff were excellent.

Two Mexico Plaza Hotels in GuanajuatoPosted Jun 30, 2013
Pros: Very clean. Nice hotel for business travel.
There ae two Mexico Plaza Hotels in the State of Gto; one in city of Gto and one in Irapuato. Picked the wrong one, but the Expedia guarantee fixed it; got me to the right hotel and transferred my credit to that hotel. very nice.

Good choice if you are on a budget.Posted Apr 1, 2013
Location: Good location. Not too far and not too close.
Overall, the hotel is acceptable for the price. My main complaint is that the training of the staff needs improvement. There were three in the room and we had to call them almost daily to request for additional towels. They got it right on the last day.

Average HotelPosted Jan 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nothing special about this hotel. Its is a few mintues away from the city center where all the tourist attractions are. Too far to walk. Our rooms AC did not work and could not be fixed. And the shower overflowed as soon as we used it and flooded the bathroom floor. Once it was fixed it worked fine. Other than this the hotel was fine and the price was pretty good. We had a great time in Guanajuato.

Really noisy to sleepPosted Sep 16, 2012
Pros: Looks new, price, good service staff
Cons: Noise, location.
Location: Quiet far from all atractions, will need to have a cab or bus, or if you like to walk 20 minutes uphill
Hotel is located inside a small shopping site, lots of parking to use, some take away food and a super market, the problem is that is TOO NOISY
