Great location in the heart of the actionPosted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: The location and it's proximity to great restaurant/bar venues and historic sites.
Cons: The internet was very inconsistent.
Killer location on Parque Union, the center of Guanajuato. Our room was set back from the street and was very quiet. The restaurant was good and offered both inside and outdoor seating (with optional Mariachi services, of course.)

Nice hotel right in the middle of townPosted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: The perfect location and helpful staff
Cons: Room comfort could be improved without compromising the original looks of the hotel.
Location: Steps from ¨Teatro Juárez¨ and ¨Casa Diego Rivera´s Museum¨
This beautiful hotel is well preserved and the staff makes you feel at home, caring for every tiny detail. We will definitely be back whenever we visit Guanajuato again. Location is perfect if you are looking to experience not just dinning on a nice open cafe or restaurant but within steps from main major attractions, such as the ¨Teatro Juarez¨

Awesome staff. The location is 2nd to none. Rooms are small, nothing fancy. In the center of the city! It's perfect for the money.

Beautiful colonial hotel, center locationPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Beautiful, lovely colonial room
Cons: Noise at night
Location: Perfect location right at the center of the main area
The hotel was beautiful and very convenient being at the main plaza. We had a beautiful colonial room and balcony. We could easily stop back whenever we wanted during the day and everything was very close by. The only downside being at the main plaza is the noise at night. We had a room that faced the plaza and there are lots of restaurants and bars there so there were live musicians playing outside till 1am and starting back up at aboit 7:30am. And the bar music can be heard throughout the night.

Great Location for family of threePosted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: Central Location. Charming historic building. Free WiFi access.
Cons: Carpets in need updating. Safe box in rooms are too small, but since they don't have keys, still have to leave your laptop computer at the front desk.
Location: Can walk to all the major landmarks and restaurants.
Just visited this hotel end of August with my husband and 12 yo son.The location is close to everything. Stayed in one of the larger suites facing the plaza. My son had his own private space in the sitting room that could be closed off with wooden doors. Festivities in the plaza last late into the night, but the new double paned glass french doors and interior wooden shutters effectively shuts out all the noise when you have had enough music for the day. There is no ac, but the ceiling fans did the trick, even with the windows closed. There is no elevator, but there is bell boy service to carry your bags and it is only one flight up the winding stair case. The hotel has the charming elegance of an old colonial hacienda, but I agree that the tired carpeting in the rooms detract from the effect.
