noisy roomPosted Nov 3, 2013
Pros: The aesthetics were nice. Location was good.
Cons: Don't rent out rooms next to hallways or instruct guests to be more quiet at night and early morning.
Location: Close to "downtown".
We were put in a room next to a hallway with constant noises from guests either leaving or arriving rolling their suitcases and talking loudly. Upon checking out I complained to the front desk person who seemed not to care.

Comfortable hotelPosted Sep 28, 2013
Very nice clean pleasant hotel, only down side had to pay $150 Mexican pesos a night for a crib for my 10 month old.

Unresponsive to maintenance issuesPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Decent location, good restaurants nearby.
Cons: If you leave the "do not disturb" sign on the door, the maids should not enter and clean your room. They did EVERY DAY even after telling the desk.
Location: The plaza is great for walking, shopping, eating, and seeing beautiful churches. Bring good walking shoes, the streets and sidewalks are very rough.
There are a few issues we had on our 3 night stay, suffice it to say we will never return to this hotel. The city is lovely and we noted that friends in the Hotel Matilda and others had great experiences. First day after check-in, we tell them the showerhead is clogged and had such weak pressure that it was difficult to wash the soap off. I reported this to the front desk twice and they never did anything about it. Second day - after returning around 11 pm from a wedding, we found that the air conditioning wall unit had dripped condensation all over the floor and left a big mess. Luckily none of our possessions were affected, I threw down all the towels in the room and we went down to the front desk to ask for a fix or a new room. There were "no rooms" available and we were told to wait in the lobby. After an hour we went to check and nothing had been done, so we tried to get a manager at the front desk. There was no manager on staff and they had to call one at home, I guess he told the clerk to send a repairman because the repairman then came and cleaned up the mess and stopped the unit from dripping. They blamed us for leaving the unit on, but never told us that, and the room power turns off when you exit when you remove your key from the wall. The beds are brutally hard (heard from all guests in our party at this hotel). Neither the hotel or expedia helped us resolve the issues, we will not be customers of either hotel or expedia in the future. Wasted 30 min on $2/min call

Good placePosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is overall really good. Staff was very helpful. The hotel is still being worked on, parking lot is a bit out of the way. I wish it was a little closer to downtown, we didn't have much time to spend in San Miguel de Allende, so the walk, although not too far from the main square, was longer than expected.

Nice stay for a short visit...Posted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall I had a good experience in this hotel... Considering that SMA is an expensive city, the cost-benefit relationship of this hotel is good, it is not cheap, but it worths... Bathroom is small and sewage is not working properly sometimes, but I think it is related to this is a very old city, as well as most of the buildings around... Staff is very nice, everybody smiles when pass you through... Pool is clean and perfect for this time of the year...

Very pleased with the hotel asccomidations. Hotel staff were very friendly. Had a bit of a language barrier being in Mexico but they had staff that could speak English. Had a very nice room with a balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was very good. Had a very nice buffet. I would stay there again. There was a group of us (19) total staying and everyone were pleased. Close to sight seeing and other restraunts. Walked to alot of the areas.

We had some wonderful days, I do have some complains about our next door neighbors were very loud and we had trouble falling asleep. One more thing would be if the carpet would be changed it smells old and dirty.

Great price for the quality of services.Posted Jul 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Is a beatifull Hotel. Has a great and beatifull garden with lot of nice spaces to relax, read a book, or have a nice talk. The rooms are confortable, clean and the service is excellent. It was a great price for the quality of the Hotel. I recommend very much, for romance or for family. Is a walking distance for the center of the city and I didn't need to use the car. I love the place, I'll return soon.
