Went to Leon to visit the leather districtPosted Nov 28, 2013
Pros: Clean, lovely central atrium and pool, suberb dining facilities and English speaking staff. The parking was covered, secure, and free.
Cons: Very little in my opinion considering the reasonable cost.
Location: Hotel Estancia is located on a major road close to the sports stadium and practically in the leather district.
While journeying towards our winter home near Guadalajara Mexico we decided to take a side trip and visit the famous leather district of Leon. It is a surprisingly large city, fabulously clean, and quite beautiful. We chose this hotel because the on-line description matched our budget, our requirements for amenities and the location we wished to be close to.

nice retreat after late flight inPosted Nov 26, 2013
very pleasant hotel on main drag in Leon. Quiet, comfortable room with terrific shower- endless HOT water, good pressure. Decent breakfast buffet with special treat of woodwind quintet on Sunday morning. One block to the biggest shoe (zapatos) store/mall in the world. Would definitely stay there again.

VERY NOISY !!!!Posted Oct 21, 2013
We staid in this hotel in late October 2013 and we found the staff great. The lobby is quite nice. the swimming pool area is surrounded by rooms. Unless you take the rooms in the executive tower, they are all surrounding the lobby and restaurant area one floor above and even though they have installed Windows to help cut the noise down it is not working much. You can hear everything and it feels like if you were sleeping in the middle of the lobby and or restaurant where the buffet is and they have musicians playing music in the morning during the buffet hours which started before 8 am. So forget about resting in tranquility in that hotel. Again I don't know what the executive rooms are like but the junior suites were too noisy for us and we changed hotel after only 1 night. Staff were all great !!!

excellent location for leather shoppingPosted Mar 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were in the middle of the Zona del Piel, a one mile square leather district with over 4500 individual shops. The hotel was very well set up and we were upgraded to a master suite following some confusion on the hotel's part. The room was extremely comfortable, and for the price we we stay here again, although, once you have seen the leather, Leon does not have much more to offer.

Air Conditioning Will Make This Hotel Awesome!Posted Sep 18, 2012
Pros: location and the comfort of the bed, many pillows!!!
Cons: Airconditioning DOES NOT work!
Location: Great location near many places to go within walking distance.
I've stayed at this hotel twice and it is a great hotel. It is located just perfectly in the center of many places to go to and there are good restaurants within walking distance. The only complaint I have that would have made my stay both times last year and this year more pleasant is if they actually did have air conditioning. They say they do but you cannot feel it at all. The room was always too warm, both times.
