I have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. It is also located in a good area as far as seeing the tourist stuff is concerned and there are several good restaurants within walking distance as well as a couple convenience shops just around the corner. On my next trip in China, I will look to stay at the local Dong Fang.

Bus from airport (17Rnb) shuttle to Pazhou (free),5 min by foot to Bayun plaza (leather paradise))) Swimming pool good.

“A Monstrositiy of a Hotel.”

This hotel is HUGE. The staff was friendly and attentive; yet, there is obvious lack of restaurants catering to a non Chinese pallet. Don't let their naming of their "Western" style restaurnant fool you...it's all Non Western. That said, there is a Marriot with better food next door, if you need a break from Chinese fare. Also, the gym never seemed to be open. It has a bar/coffee area, but I found it very uninviting.
