Only problem: room looks old.Posted Sep 29, 2014
Hotel location, entrance, facilities, and cleanliness are all fine. I expected the room to look nicer. The furniture is a bit old. The hotel is very close to a metro station which facilitated most of my trips. The house keeping is great. The fridge is small.

Pros: Good location & good service.
Cons: The room carpet should be upgrade.
Location: Near to Centre Park and a lot of clothes shops near by.

Close to subwayPosted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Reasonable price and airport shuttle bus
Cons: The building
Location: Near subway and park
We stayed for 3 days. The front desk staff was helpful, polite and accommodated. The service was likewise fast. The room was spacious however a little bit outdated. The bed was comfortable and soft. The cleanliness was just so so. The hotel itself is very big with many rooms. I wonder how they manage this big hotel. The location is near to subway just 5 minute walk however, the hotel is not in the centre of major attraction. You need to take subway to get there and it is very easy. The shuttle bus from and to airport stops in front of the hotel (shuttle bus no. 5). Check out was fast and no need to wait long.

Hotel staff stole my money in the safePosted Jun 19, 2014
When I arrived, the staff gave me a room at the back of the hotel. I had to argue to be moved. Always ask for both keys to the room. When my money was taken out of the safe, I ask the hotel manager to run a report on the safe. He said that the report is inaccurate due to a manufacture defect of the safe. I will never stay there again and I don't not recommend it. The staff was not helpful, when I called the police, my interpreter was threatened and the staff had a meeting with the police and after they didn't want to generate a report.

Certainly not a 4 or 5 star!Posted Jun 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
We checked in very late one night and when we awoke the next morning we discovered that there was toothpick in the bed! I attempted to call the front desk and the duty manager but was repeatedly disconnected. I went down to speak with the duty manager and their whole response was to change the sheets. I explained that this was not enough as this was unacceptable for the amount of money we were spending! The bed had not been changed before we arrived! I explained that I wanted to check out and go to the Marriott next door but they refused to refund the 2 nights we still had to stay. Hotels.com called them and argued with them but they still wouldn't refund it. Hotels.com offered to give me a credit so I could change hotels from their own funds which I thought was great customer service. We ended up arguing to get a room upgrade as well as half price breakfast but this was not a pleasurable stay and we will not be returning! STAY at the Marriott with free breakfast next door! Worth the money. Also the pool looked nice but was under construction, in the summer!!! Nothing on hotels.com or the hotel website itself!

Hotel was up to standardsPosted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Bedding, location
Location: Macdonald's within walking distance Near sun yet sen memorial
Lobby was grand and staff were friendly and attentive, However, the hotel was sooo big that my assigned room was so far from the lifts! And swimming pool was under renovation so I couldn't use it. Location is good and near to all places that I needed to go. Bedding was soft and nice pillows. Toiletries were good as well.

Old chinese style five star hotelPosted Jun 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is an old chinese style five starred hotel. Pros are the price is relatively cheaper than the other five starred hotels and there is a big and beautiful garden in the hotel. The condition of the hotel is generally nice and clean but if you look closer, there are moulds on wall papers and curtains are dirty. The cons is mainly the service which isn't anything near a five star hotel. The service in the Chinese restaurant was very slow, (just getting the bill took them 20 mins so we got up and walked to their cashier) and the worst thing was I was told by the housekeeping lady that I have to help her move the extra bed into our room because she was the only one taking care of three floors! And I paid a few hundred RMB for the extra bed! And getting a taxi is the worst! I am not sure whether there is a taxi sign outside the hotel, but because the lobby is too far away from the main road, there are never any taxis coming by. And the bellboy mostly just stood there and stared. However, the metro station is close by.
