Drop-off Service

Property Amenities
The Guangdong Victory Hotel has two separate buildings. The nine-story main building is newer and has a rooftop outdoor swimming pool and small fitness center (both seasonal) with views over Shamian Island and the Pearl River, as well as a business center and conference facilities. The four-story annex is in part of a heritage Colonial building just around the corner, one block from the main hotel, and has a small coffee shop. A roundtrip airport shuttle (surcharge) is available. During trade fairs, the hotel has a complimentary shuttle to both the China Export Commodities Fair and the Guangzhou International Exhibition Center; delegates to the fairs can pre-register in the lobby.

Business center: The basic business center offers high-speed Internet access, express mail service, photocopying, and printing at RMB1 (US$0.10) per sheet, faxing at RMB5 (US$0.50) per page, scanning at RMB25 (US$1–$5 per sheet), and typing services in English and Chinese at RMB20 (US$1–$5) per page. Internet access: High-speed Internet access is available in the business centre for surcharges in hourly increments.
Conference/function room(s): The main function hall is 300 square metres (3,230 square feet) and accommodates up to 300 people. It has high ceilings, a DJ booth, an outdoor patio, and views over the Pearl River. Computers, TVs, projectors, and other audiovisual equipment can be provided.
A first-floor meeting room of 100 square metres (1,076 square feet) is suitable for up to 80 people. It has wood paneling and a raised platform at one end.
A boardroom of 45 square metres (485 square feet) holds 30 people; the board table seats about ten. Pale green décor and Chinese prints on the walls.
Rooms
The Guangdong Victory Hotel's guestrooms are housed on nine floors in the main building and four floors in the annex. All guestrooms have complimentary high-speed Internet access; main building guestrooms also have fax machines. Muted gold and yellow colors predominate, with bright red cushions and bed runners; bedside carriage clocks add a unique touch to the main building guestrooms. Guestrooms have armchairs with footstools to form small sitting areas. Cable-satellite TV channels include CNN, Star Movies, various Hong Kong channels (some of which are in English), and local CCTV. A pure drinking-water system from the U.S. provides unlimited hot and cold pure water in main building guestrooms.

Ying Hua Banquet Hall - Large Chinese-style restaurant with round tables. Located on second floor of main building. Dim sum and other Cantonese food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as afternoon teas. Pink chair covers and chandeliers add a touch of brightness. Views of the canal.
C'est La Vie Western Restaurant - Offers buffet and à la carte breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, as well as snacks, drinks, and coffee. Western cuisine with French influences. Located off lobby in main building.
Cherry Land Western Restaurant - Serves buffet breakfast, soft drinks, and alcohol. Light décor with wood finishes and striped awnings. Views onto elevated patio. Located in the West building.
Tulip Coffee Shop - Serves soft drinks and alcohol. Light décor with wood finishes and striped awnings. Views onto elevated patio. Located in the main building.
Annex Lobby - Small coffee shop that seats just a few guests. Serves sandwiches, cake, fruit, drinks. Located in the annex building.
Recreation
The hotel's outdoor rooftop swimming pool has views over Shamian Island and the Pearl River, and is open seasonally from April to October, as is the small adjacent fitness center. The Guangdong Victory also offers table tennis and two billiard tables.
Shamian Island is a quiet residential area with limited traffic. Its tree-lined streets and riverside promenade provide good walking and jogging venues. Locals also do their exercises and tai chi in the street early in the morning, and there is a children's playground. Several tennis courts are also available for hire. The Guangzhou Luhu Golf and Country Club is 7.5 km (5 miles) from the hotel.
