Pros: Bed hard but comfortable . Staff were lovely especially the buffet resturants . Views from the room we're excellent
Cons: Wall paper and condition of the room looked a bit shabby ,peeling Water pressure in the shower . Room a lot smaller than reviews

This hotel is an excellent choice for a person on a business trip in Guangdong. It is right next to Guangzhou East Railway Station and metro station. If you are visiting an Expo they have a shuttle bus that will take you there and back free of charge. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. There are a gym and a pool which opens early so one can do a little workout before breakfast. The breakfast buffet offers a large variety of Chinese, Western, and Japanese cuisine. In general it is a good hotel at a good price.

Amazing China hotelPosted Oct 22, 2013
This is a china 5 stars hotel built with a international standard of quality. The staffs are very friendly and attentive. I ran into a problem to get a train ticket 3 hours after I have checked out the hotel. I went back to get help. The bell boy who attended to me the night before recognize me. He remenber my name surprisingly. With his help, I managed to catch the next earliest train. I really appreciated it.

Good location - great hotelPosted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: Location, value and quality
Cons: Better internet access in the hotel lobby
Location: Bavarian bar was good- 5 min walk, plus lots of choice of food
Good location - very near to Guangzhou East Railway station (walking distance). The hotel is not far from a good number of bars and eateries and is facing a shopping mall. There are a number of more Western hotels within the area, but for value and quality - this is the one for me.

Highly recommendPosted Oct 14, 2013
The hotel is wellbplaced by the train and bus station. Its approximately 20 min away from all major markets. The rooms are nice and well kept. 20 % of the hotel staff speak english but they are all placed at the right spot to receive and serve the guest. The hotel has 3 restaurant to choose from which the prices are a little on the high side especially when traveling on a budget. Over all the hotel is truly a 4+ star and would recommend it to my family and friends.

Excellent value and managementPosted Aug 16, 2013
Pros: Truly no smoking
Location: Excellent. Close to major train lines and metro station.
One of the rare hotels in China where you are not confronted with thick cigarette smoke or smell the moment you step into their foyer. The room I had was true non-smoking. No ash tray and no smell. Close to Guangzhou East Station where both nonstop and express train lines from Hong Kong terminate. Also close to Metro station. Forget Guangzhou Central station. That area is now run down and has few amenities.

A bargain place for a great locationPosted Aug 10, 2013
Cons: Rooms were not sound proof
Location: Tianhe area is a lively area yet not so crowded like downtown. Convenient and safe place to stay.
I stayed there for a week. It was a great value for the money I paid. The best thing I liked about the hotel was its location. It's just 2 min away from Guangzhou east railway station where you can take Metro lines as well as high speed train to go Shenzhen and other cities. Lots of shopping malls and eating places within 1-1.5 km around there. Ikea is just next door and Aeon is across the road only. Hotel's restaurants and breakfast was just average but that wasn't a problem for me because so many other choices are around there. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Only one problem I had was that the rooms were not really sound proof. I could even hear the kid's crying and peoples conversation from the nearby rooms in the middle of the night.

need ironing boardPosted Aug 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is clean. Location is very convenient to Metro and East Guangzhou Railway Station. Staff is good. But the breakfast is serve in a room. Though the hotel had announced that the main dining hall is undergoing renovation. The only issue I have with this hotel is that there is no Ironing Board and Iron. We have already spend 7 days going around china and we could not iron our clothes. Hope they will have soon for our next Guangzhou trip next month.
