Not recommended if you cant speak Chinese.Posted Apr 30, 2013
Nice looking hotel from the outside, Reception staff dont speak a word of English, Breakfast arwful and expensive if its not included, Hotel out of the way from most things and taxi drivers always have difficulties finding it (even with the address). KTV night club also located at the hotel, however as we didnt speak Chinese the hotel receptionist wouldnt let us use it, in the end we were pleased we couldnt use it as we discovered it was more than just a Kareoke joint i.e young women being purchased for the night....

Solid, good value - but in the middle of nowhere.Posted Apr 26, 2013
Pros: Good value
Cons: No fitness center
Location: Middle of nowhere
I booked this hotel in Panyu for 5 nights because my normal hotel (Royal Marina Plaza) was charging 2.5 times normal rates due to Canton Fair. To be fair, the hotel offered good value, a clean and comfortable room. The hotel is located 2 blocks from a bus station that has McDonald's. Other than that, there is really nothing within walking distance. The breakfast was served in the hotel lobby restaurant. It was OK - but offered limited western choices. Couple of negatives to note - the A/C was shut off at night so the room was very warm & there is no fitness center in the hotel. The hotel did provide free, fast Internet in the room (wired - but no wifi). The hotel staff was friendly enough - but as in most China hotels, possessed poor English skills. Overall a good value - but so so location.
