“2 day home base”

The Hotel was very clean inside and out. The room had a most welcome soft bed nestled well into a quiet good sized room, nice decor. They provide a very good breakfast buffet. A subway entrance is only a few minutes walk from the hotel. I would most definately return for a future stay at the Leeden hotel if ever in Guangzhou again, for the comfortable bed alone.

“Pleasantly surprised”

I did a lot of looking before booking this hotel, I even emailed them but did not get a reply so was not expecting a lot. For various reasons this hotel was located exactly right for me. English is not understood or spoken everywhere here so the hotel was good in comparison to outside and in Guangzhou in general. The photo's on their website and online elsewhere do not show the hotel at it's best, perhaps it is the decor and colour but I was expecting something a little out dated and it was by no means that at all. Extremely comfortable bed, not the hard board type that is so common here in Asia. We stayed in the Leeden Suite and worth the extra few dollars as it was very spacious, quiet, and with windows both sides of the rooms so no dark bathrooms, full size soaker bath and large bathroom overall. Complimentry mini bar of a few soft drinks and coconut juice was a nice touch. As I mentioned before the colour/decor being green and brown doesn't show well online, striped carpet especially looked bad, but in reality it was actually quite nice. Taxi's were always there, doorman just called them over to front door to pick up and helped with explaining where we wanted to go, again taxi drivers don't generally speak english so this was a great help. We were booked and paid 6 nights but had to leave 2 days earlier, since it was already paid I had expected the cost of a couple days breakfast not to be charged but that wasn't the case, that was the only dissapointment.

“Great business hotel for Canton Fair”

We stayed a Leeden Hotel for the first time in April 2011. The hotel offered great value and was well located for the Canton Fair. We traveled to and from the Pazhou via the MTR, taxi and on the complimentary hotel shuttle bus and the trip took on average less than 30mins. The breakfast was very acceptable with a mix of western and eastern options. There is a Starbucks and a number of restaurants within a 10min walk as well as a 7/11 on the corner. It is not located close to all the fun stuff that GZ has to offer including Beijing Road, but a 15-20min trip on the metro will get you there easily. We will be very happy to stay there again for the next fair.

Had to go to the Australian Consulate in Guangzhou. This hotel excelent. Walking distance to Australian Consulate and New Town Metro Station. Caught Metro from airport to New Town Station. Had to change trains once, but very easy. Room I had booked was full so they upgraded for nothing. Good staff, spoke English OK. Rooms very large, clean and king size bed. Bathroom better than my home. Would stay there again.

“Great Area!”

Hotel is very conveniently close to Zhoujiang New Town Metro station and about 30 minutes from the airport. The area is very impressive. Kind of like a financial district with lots of banks. Shopping center close and also a real nice park close by called Huacheng Plaza. The park will soon have a very nice shopping area as well called Mall of the world. The Leeden is very good value for money except for a couple small things. Our floor was supposed to be non-smoking and we could smell smoke everywhere on our floor. Our room was not smelly except the bathroom towels smelled horrible. Service was good overall except there was big confusion on check out. I extended one more night during our stay using Expedia. But on check out they took 20 minutes to figure out how things worked with my extra night. I suspect the confusion was because I paid for a nicer room using Expedia but stayed my last night in a cheaper room. The hotel management should really look at their breakfast rules. If served till 10AM and we show up 9.45 they should not stop serving at 10 and remove all food. Even our plates and condiments. I suggest they let people in till 10AM and let them finish 30-45 minutes. Even though I mentioned a few possible improvements I would definitely stay in this hotel again and highly recommend it at the price.

“great business hotel”

This hotel is about 2 years old and is conveniently located about 15,min from the pazhou complex. The rooms are clean and modern. I would definitely stay here again since comprable hotels during the fair time are alot more expensive. The only drawback is that the food selection is limited. There is a sushi restaurant as well as a breakfast buffet. There arent many food options (besides a starbucks and 7-11) in the immediate vicinity so you will need to take a cab to find a good place to eat. There is also a gym and swimming pool but no steam room or jacuzzi at the health club. The lobby is also very small but overall a good experience.

“A good business hotel for the Canton Fair”

The hotel is in a good location when visiting the Canton Fair. Comfortable hotel for the business traveller - great bed. A no frills experience but totally enjoyable. Limited dining menu only detraction. Complimentary mini bar saved me going to the 7-11 next door. Hospitality shown by staff and management was excellent. The informal buffet party for the guests was enjoyable and was greatly appreciated by me.

This hotel is very clean, and centrally located in a pleasant neighborhood. We are extremely satisfied with the room and the service. Will defintely recommend to others.
