This hotel has become old, tired & desperately in need of a complete makeover. I have been staying there for some years to attend the Canton Fair & was shocked by how much it has deteriorated.

Despite requested for NON-SMOKING room, we were assigned to a SMOKING ROOM on a SMOKE FLOOR. We practically inhaling 2nd hand smoke during our stay. The room is spacious with 2 full bathrooms. Carpet of this hotel, including our room, has a grey-dark coating throughout. It is aged to call for replacement. The carpet in our room are torn. This hotel does not deserve for 3* but NO-STAR.

Good location, just above train station. Many food options nearby. However service levels is sub par, for example had to ownself carry some bulky goods myself despite asking for porter service. Lack of sugar in the room. No more gym. Silver lining is that the Bed is comfortable.

Great location with immediate access to buses, subway, diversified restaurants, supermarket, phamacies, you name it The king size bedroom is decent, has a good setting, bathroom looks renovated but the bathtub sealer around the edges came off. The cleaning ladies were very courteous, helpful, and get the job done. The only annoying thing is that there are no door slam preventers. I heard the doors were slammed constantly by the neighbors early morning or late at night.

There is a bit of a scam--during check-in, they tell to that in order to have a room that is reasonably new and has everything in working condition, you need to pay extra 100 RMB. After agreeing to pay the extra 100 RMB, you receive a room that, although the bathroom appears to have been refurbished, has a, musky odor, perhaps attributable to the old carpeting which clearly has many stains and needs to be replaced.

The biggest concern for me was the cigarette smell in the room, the linen etc. The rest was ok. The female staff in the lobby responsible for bus ticket booking to Hong Kong was very unpleasant and rude.

This is great value -- the location is super, and the hotel is well managed and clean, but very dated (old). Nonetheless, the price is also great. So overall, very solid value, and I would use again.

Old hotel but convenient
The hotel is old, all carpets are stained (corridor and inside room), breakfast was ok, they do not replace empty dishes fast enough to meet demand! The location is great: metro is right by the hotel. There are abundant eating places around (even a Mcdonald- right next to the hotel).

Very out dated, half of the lightbulbs didn’t work. Everything is in poor condition. When we were at check in, they asked if we want to pay $42 more for a modern room of the same size. I said it didn’t say that on the website, they said they would never advertised that on the site. Very uncomfortable stay overall.

Hello, I have stayed at this hotel many time thru travelocity. Upon check in I was first told my room was not ready. Then I was told a room was available. I did not expect four stars however I stayed four nights and my room was never vacuumed! When I checked out I was told that I had to pay an additional 168.00 for “upgraded” room!!! I have never had a hotel change the price after paying travelocity and I can only say that if this is the new bait and switch policy I will not book any travel again with your company. No one could explain to me what was an upgraded room and believe me the room was a standard that I have previously stayed in. No one spoke english and I ended up having to the pay the extra money. Terrible experience !!!

Great experience at Rosedale!
Love the location!! Surrounded with food like Macdonald, local food etc and just steps away from subway. Bed was firm but would prefer room to have more white lighting.

This hotel has roaches
there were two roaches in my room and i told the hotel front counter but they did not act with surprise. I guess it is probably common. I killed one of the roaches but another one went away. i want my full refund for this stay.
