The Shangri-lah is excelent. Luxury all over. Very expensive considering other Guangzhou hotels, but if you are looking to stay in a luxury hotel, the rates are low here. Its quite new, aside of Pazhou complex, but you need to take a taxi to go there, but at $ 7 RMB ( less than $ 1 USD) the ride is a steal !! Breakfast buffet is nice and all installations are cover with orchids. The pool is awesome. Service is great. Fully recomended.

I stayed i Shangri-La for 5 days during a business trip. The hotel was right next to the Pazhou Complex, which is the exhibition center in Guanghzou where all the fairs take place the entire year. It is a 5 minutes walk from the hotel, but if you don't feel like walking, they have a free shuttle to the exhibition center every 15 minutes. If you are in Guangzhou for a business trip or to attend an exhibition, I can say that this is the perfect spot to stay. The room was excellent, but more than that, the service and the staff was great. I arrived late at night around 11, and I needed my shirts to be pressed for next morning. Turns out that the cleaning service is closed at 8pm every day, but it was not an issue for the hotel. They picked up my shirts at 11 and I got them back at 7 in the morning, nice and clean. This might seem like a small detail, but many of us know many nice hotels where the rules are very strict and you can not get anything done in a time frame other than the official hours stated. Another thing was that I had a small problem with my air conditionning, they came and fixed it and the next thing I know was a guy in my door with a portable heater next to him just in case the room does not get hot enough! This is something you dont see in every hotel. Overall, I think the hotel is very nice and comfortable but more than that, as I said, the service and hospitality are exceptionnal. I definitely recommend it.

The Hotel is really marvelous place to stay and I was impressed by arrange the room twice a day. The city was very hot and some time difficult to go outside, I enjoyed of the hotel's facilities such as indoor/outdoor pools, live music and food in the restaurants.

my wife and I enjoyed this stay . Everyone bends backwards to satisfy you . It is a peaceful , luxurious haven . Your privacy is assured. YOu only have to request and you have it . From the reception to the Club everyone is busy attending to your needs . This is an epitome of service
