Great staff and old world charm. The upstairs patio/eating area for breakfast is one the best kept secrets in Antigua.

Great hotel for weddings and touristsPosted Aug 28, 2012
Wonderful people, they helped me with the wedding services to my doughter. It is a very calm boutique hotel in Antigua, Guatemala. The price is economic for the quality of the rooms.

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. I would highly recommend Casa La Capilla to anyone else and hope to stay there again.

gorgeousPosted Jul 24, 2011 on Hotels.com
The hotel is beautiful on a quiet street a few blocks from the center. Its about a ten minute walk but worth the peace and next to a charming and delicious restaurant. The service is very good. They go out of their way to please.

A beautiful, quiet and peacefull stay in AntiguaPosted Mar 23, 2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel has only 5 rooms. It was an old home that was converted to a hotel but it kept all its original ambiance. The original chappel (Capilla) is till there and usable. My room had all of the original wood and tiling kept in great shape. It was like I was back in time befroe the earthquakes and erupting volcanos forced Guatemala's former capital city to be reolcated. The family who live here before it was changed into a hotel must have been very well off. All of the common livng room spaces are covered but still in th eopen air with leather couches, chairs and beautiful wooded tables. The religious and non-religious artwork really add to the overall atmosphere. I ate breakfast every morning on the roof top terrace watching Agua Volcano in the horizon. The food was excellent and the service was perfect right down to the staff uniforms. Although the swimming pool is small, it was great to lay around in the day and ideal for a little dip. The woman in charge of the hotel (Victoria) was fluent in english and made it easy to answer any questions I had about tours and transportation. She made my trip even easier. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but still only 5 blocks from the Central Park, the centre of town, and an easy, safe, walk , day or night. The bed was huge and comfortable and the linens were a high thread count with many soft pillows. The feather duvet made cool nights warm and cosey. A great little spot, I highly recommend it.

Nice small hotel with great breakfastPosted Dec 31, 2010
Its a nice hotel, excellently kept. The people there are warm and inviting and the breakfast is wonderful. Its a bit expensive for the rooms you get and whats available in Antigua. Its a bit off of were most of the shops and cafes are but still walking distance.
