“Beautiful quiet and peaceful place”
This beautiful hotel is located a couple of blocks away from Antigua's center. Clean and very pleasant atmosphere. The room was beautiful and smelled great. Very small bed and breakfast and I would recommend it highly to those people that like quiet and peaceful atmospheres.
“Would recommend this B&B to everyone”
We travel quite a bit and this was one of the nicest places we have picked on the internet. Everything you see in the pictures is exactly how it really looks. The rooms and the grounds were amazing. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. We had facials and hot rock massages - they were great. We also had the B&B arrange our transportation to and from the airport as well as a day trip to Pacaya - worked out great. Breakfast - cooked to order - was outstanding.
“Charming Antigua hotel”
I stayed at this hotel for three nights with my daughter and returned there at the end of my trip for a two night stay by myself. The place is spotless, the gardens beautiful, the setting very peaceful. The staff was very efficient, helpful and friendly. The breakfast choices are exceptional and tasty. My daughter and I each had a wax pedicure and manicure and were more than pleased with the results. It is a bit of a lonely walk from the centre to the hotel at night and taxis did not seem to be readily available. It was not a problem when my daughter and I were together but I was uncomfortable walking back from dinner on my own.
“Fabulous place. Highly recommended!”
This was the nicest B & B I have ever stayed at; good location, reasonable price, awesome service, great people, fabulous breakfasts. I can't say enough good about the place! It is about a three block walk into town but no big deal although my taxi driver from Guatemala City had a bit of a challenge finding it! No other problems. Did I mention, beatiful grounds with candle light at night?!
“Can't wait to go back!!”
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I felt totally safe walking to and from the hotel. The staff was amazing and couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The made to order breakfast every morning was perfect. Next time I'm in Antigua I will definitely be staying here again!
“Best hidden paradise in Antigua”
Finding this jewel was a bit difficult, once we did it was just "great". We have been to different good hotels in Antigua, but Casa Madeleine has been the best little boutique hotel. Their employees are so pleasant and helpful. If you want to be pampered away from home, this is the place. We and the other guests that came with us will definitely come back.
“Great Bed and Breakfast”
Very beautiful bed and breakfast! New mattresses were installed while we were there. Rooms were on the small side, but there was a beautiful court yard. We only used the room to sleep. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I will stay there again if I go back to Antigua, Guatemala.
“Lovely experience”
I went to a Spanish School in the mornings and went shopping in the afternoon. I traveled alone and felt very safe. The SPA experience was excellent. The Hotel was beautiful. I loved my room. Can't wait to go back!
“Lovely room, peaceful surroundings”
Ended our trip to Guatemala here. A little away from town centre but easy to walk to and extremely peaceful. We stayed in the Blue room which was a good size and very comfortable. Indulged in 2 spa treatments which were excellent.
“A Tranquil Oasis”
I was just back from a week long sailing trip, and needed a place to veg out and recuperate. Casa Madeleine was perfect for this-- lots of hot water, a steam room, a spa with an excellent massage service. The entire facility was immaculate and it was blessedly quiet at night. An excellent breakfast on the terrace completed the experience. The only thing that would have been nice was a chair in the room. I love to read, but hate reading in bed!
