“La Antigua is gorgeous, even in the rainy season! Go!”

The little hotel was in a great location, and the well appointed rooms clustered around lush gardens. I had a room above the pool with a stunning view of the the volcano. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. My room with 2 very comfortable queen sized beds was warmly decorated and the shower had plenty of hot water. There was also a reliable wireless network. I would have liked more time to lie and read around the pool in the sun, but alas it was rainy season and most afternoons it rained heavily. The hotel felt very safe and there was 24 hour security on the door, and the large heavy timber doors onto the street were firmly bolted at night. The restaurant is very close to the center of town and hence to lots of bars and restaurants. Extremely good value.

“Good value and exceptional breakfasts”

Even though building construction occurring in the back of the hotel interrupted my sleep in the morning and some loud music from a nearby bar was a little disruptive, I enjoyed this hotel. The breakfasts were the highlight of my stay and the convenience to the town's center made it a good choice . It was nice to have all my breakfast choices prepared by an accomodating breakfast staff. In addition, the front desk staff had a good attitude and were helpful. This hotel is clean, simple and basic. It is a good value for the money.

“Elegant Charm”

Casa del Parque has a great helpful desk staff, they are situated a block off the Parque. The rooms are spacious and nice, but the restroom facilites are rather basic. They offer free internet and parking, and the staff will bend over backwards to help. It is a delight to wander through the hotel and pop out into the bar and restaurant which are located in an adjacent floral patio. The pool is well maintained, and there is a jacuzzi and sauna. The only downside is that Casa del Parque adds a exchange fee and processing fee to credit card charges - the upside is that they will accept US dollar and provide change. We liked it so much we extended our stay for two more days.

“Great hotel in a great location”

It was a very nice small hotel with a great view of the volcano. Noise was the only problem. We had a room on the main road so cars driving on the cobble roads were noisy. They proved a fan so that really helped. We had a few very noisy neighbours one night but the night guard did ask them to quiet down. So problem solved.

“Dissapointed”

We just came back from Antigua - Guatemala, a beautiful place with wonderful and very warm people, the only complain I have is this hotel, which can not be even called a hotel. The rooms and especially the beds are very uncomfortable, the sheets are paper thin and so it is the blanket. I hate it those plastic waste baskets everywhere. It lacks of charm and please for the price we paid which was higher than the price my in laws paid at the Camino Real which is a beautiful hotel and I say this because I had the chance to visit the hotel and see the rooms and there is no way to compare one with the other. The staff was nice but that is nothing out of this world since in Guatemala everybody is nice and helpful. The location is good and is close to everything, but the truth is that in Antigua you just love to walk from one place to the other. I do not recommend Casa del Parque to any one. Who ever owns this hotel, please get someone to help you with the decoration, the location is very good and breakfast was not bad either, but is not a pleasent place to stay
