We loved the Hotel Meson del Valle!Posted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: The rooms were very clean and up to date. Shower was warm and had very good water pressure!
Location: The Hotel Meson del Valle is located less than 5 minutes walking distance to the Central Park in Antigua. There are tons of restaurants nearby.
The Hotel Meson del Valle was beautiful! Our room was comfortable and very clean. The area was very quiet and set away from many of the clubs and bars in Antigua. The most noise we heard was later in the morning when traffic volume picked up outside the hotel--cobblestone streets can be noisy! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt very safe and secure--anyone entering or exiting the hotel would need to be buzzed in or out. We would definitely stay here again as it met and exceeded out expectations and was priced at a very reaonable cost.

A small Guatemalan hotel with a Great location, hotel staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is abundant, enough for two! Rooms a little dark, but that seems typical. Choose a room on second level for light and an outdoor seating area. In a Safe part of Antigua and we felt it was a good choice.

Excellent location, thoughtful staffPosted Aug 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Enjoyed the hotel. Small garden but no seating. Rooms typically a little dark, and pillows lumpy. Huge and delicious breakfast. I would retune were I in Antigua again, the rates were just right.

Can't beat the price!Posted Jun 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
I thought this was an extremely good value! But I went in the low season soaybe it was inexpensive for that reason! Plus they upgraded me! Staff was very personable! The housekeeper was the nicest and went out of her way for me! Leave them a good tip! They work hard!

2 Day Quick Get Away from MiamiPosted Apr 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
I love that is was small hotel, very peaceful, I walked out the front door to be greeted by the sight of the volcano. I travelled alone and felt very safe. Maybe not a' party' groups hotel, but bars and restaurant are a close walk. The hotel breakfast is defiantly worth it. Book your transport back to the airport at least 24 hours in advance if you want the cheap way. Give you your self plenty if time to get to the airport as Antigua is quite and beautiful but Guatemala City is a mess. Will take my husband for a romantic getaway next time!

The hotel is close (three blocks) to Antigua's main plaza, which makes it convenient for walking. The rooms are relatively small and somewhat dark, (which is often the case with older colonial houses), but the courtyard is nice. No breakfast is included.

A good place to stayPosted May 2, 2012
Pros: The location
Cons: The bathroom was kind of small. They had a bigger one but the one we got was enough for a weekend.
Location: Everything is just a few blocks from the hotel. You could be in the middle of the town just walking three block north
The hotel is really near from Antigua downtown. We walked around all town and it is one of the best located to be near of the main historical places but also to get some calm to rest. The breakfast was not included but we bought it, and it was delicious. The people who work there are very nice.
