Good stay

The hotel is old but well kept. The location is on the edge of a poor area so don't plan to go out at night., but the food was good and the building is secure.

Ok, Hotel in the middle of the city.

Pros: the food is very good.
Cons: one of the things to follow the contracts, don't change it last minute.
Location: location is find, things near by ok, is in the heart of the city.
could be better, if I get the room I had in the internet paperwork. Suposse to be a room with double bed, but they gave me single bed (small) actually smaller room according to the picture I saw, when I signed the contract. Actually, I didn't like the parking lot.

Old but classy

I enjoyed my stay here. It's no doubt an old building, but is well maintained and is full of charm. There is no AC, but it didn't really need it. The ceiling fan and open window worked well enough (even with the windows open, the hotel felt very secure). The hotel restaurant was probably a little more expensive than it should had been. But the food was decent and service was very friendly and helpful. Wifi worked well in the lobby

The hotel is in a great location in the most interesting part of the city on the north end of the pedestrian mall. The mall is very popular, especially on weekends.

Stores start closing at dark, but restaurants generally stay open till 9, and bars till 1am. One needs to be aware of their surroundings here especially in the late hours. Though I walked all over the mall day and night, wore a bright shirt and carried a nice camera. On one occasion I was bar hopping with a few buddy's till 1am. I never experience any problems.

I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location

Very nice old classic hotel with a big beautiful dining room. Staff was very nice service was excellent. And the rates seemed a bargain. Wonderful hot shower with lots of hot water, a luxury in Central America budget hotels. Only negative was no wifi in the room only the lobby. Don't think we had air conditioning but didn't need it anyway. The breakfast was very good. Would stay there again.

Great historic hotel

Classic old hotel in the center of town, near the basilica. There was a government press conference there when we were having breakfast.
