Relaxing stay... excellent service !!!

Posted Jan 19, 2014
Pros: Breakfast in the rooftop patio with the view of the volcano... awesome !!!
The staff offered an excellent service during our stay... the rose suite room is what we expected as previously seen in the photos of the hotel. It has a wow factor. We enjoyed the fireplace at night time, kind of chilly during our stay and they provided extra blankets. We love the breakfast...,plate of fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice and huevos rancheros...it's a personalized service and everything was served as requested... We had breakfast in the dining room overlooking the swimming pool, and rooftop patio with a view of the volcano...The only disappointment is the size of the television in the bedroom, kind of small for the suite . Overall, service is excellent and we truly enjoyed our vacation !!!

Relaxing

This hotel is very quaint and romantic. It feels as if you re staying in someone s house, which is something that I prefer when staying in Antigua. The staff was very helpful and accommodated our every need. Breakfast and drinks on the terrace overlooking one of the volcanoes is PRICELESS. Another favorite was sitting next to the fireplace downstairs in the living room enjoying a bottle of wine.

Love this place, will definitely be back!

Posted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: Loved the working fireplaces in each room. We looked forward to lighting them each night.
Cons: There are no phones in the room. Not that we needed one, but if you needed to speak to the staff, you had to go out to the front reception
Location: Great location. Was able to walk everywhere. Streets are safe at night and well lit.
My husband and I recently stayed here for 5 days. Hotel staff extremely friendly and accommodating. We had taken a red eye flight and arrived early in the morning at 6am. They arranged a shuttle from the airport to pick us up and even though it was too soon to check in, they let us anyways. Thank God, because we were so tired from traveling. We loved that the hotel is very small (less than 10 rooms) and that no 2 rooms are alike. Breakfast is provided each day and is delicious! Great way to start your morning.

A feast for the senses!

Posted Apr 21, 2013
Pros: You felt a total sense of relaxation as soon as you entered the gate.
Cons: Nothing
Location: It's out of the way of downtown Antigua, so it's quiet and yet, close enough.
It's definitely been the best hotel experience of my life, so far. The hotel is full of personal touches and vibrant colors that makes it a feast for the senses. The staff is so helpful and the place is so full of little private hideouts where you can rest and relax taking in the views and the sunshine. The weather is just right, not too hot, not too cold (in april). I would totally go back! President Clinton stayed here once.

Great hotel for couples

Pros: Staff super helpful and nice, cleanliness of room, has ample parking.
Location: though it is not in the center of Antigua, distances there are a short walk.
This is a beautiful and small hotel. Super clean, staff goes out of their way to please you. Beautiful gardens, very well kept. Small and cozy. A great place to stay in Antigua. Everybody is very helpful and anxious to make your stay a beautiful one. I do recommend it, you´ll love it.

A beautiful inn!

We loved Posada del Angel! Beautifully maintained, a very special get-away! We were there on Valentines Day, and the innkeepers put a dozen roses in our room. We hope to return!

One of the most romantic hotels we've stayed in.

Wonderful hotel. Excellent friendly service. Great breakfast on a beautiful terrace with views of the volcanos, candlelit hallways at night, and a fireplace in which the staff will start a fire for you.

Quality with charm.

Pros: This small hotel is like an oasis of comfort in the beautiful town of Antigua. Lovely rooftop terrace. Excellent breakfast and very pleasant staff.
Cons: Unfortunately there is some building work going on next door (late Nov)and they seem to work very long hours! Ask for a room at the front if possible.
Location: Ten minutes walk from the main square.
A very enjoyable stay in this small, well run and charming hotel. Lots of character and individually furnished spacious rooms. A small problem for us in one of the back rooms was the slight noise from the next door property of building work that started very early and went on to late evening, if we had known about it we wouldn't be put off but might have asked for a room towards the front of the hotel.

Best boutique hotel by far

Posted Oct 31, 2012 on Hotels.com
Amazing service, excellent rooms and great breakfasts. Almost like a home away from home. Location is slightly farther from the main areas of town, but if you want quiet and quality this is it. Great for couples or romantic vacation. Not good for kids as there are few other amenities than a small pool.
