My wife and I stayed her after seeing Lake Atitlan. We looked online for a good priced hotel and had no idea how lucky we got. We were happy that this was perfectly placed on the quite part of Antigua and we walked up and down all of the streets every morning and then back to our hotel. Every morning they made us breakfast, that was AMAZING, anytime we wanted and would let you eat in your room or on the beautiful little garden patio. It was so quite and peaceful. They also have a parking lot around the block that is SECURE and will let you take your car in and out all day and help you do so. They people who worked there spoke English and Spanish and really wanted to make sure you loved your stay. They offered to do anything to make sure of it. We saw a lot of other hotels right in the center of Antigua but just did not want to leave the perfect place we found. This was truly wonderful and they were so nice to us that we would go back anytime!! The parking lot is only $5 a day and everything else is included. They also give you bottled water whenever you want it and have really nice movies playing in the room when you get back at night and just want to relax for a little. We stayed in room 105 and it had a big bed and coxy feeling. They lock the place all day and you have to knock to be let in to keep the hotel even more secure. We stayed here on this trip and will stay here on ever trip to Antigua. The staff was flawless!

The one night we spent at the San Rafael made us want to return for a much longer visit. Very helpful staff, elegant and comfortable room, and a delicious breakfast in the garden courtyard all invite extended visits.

a beautiful place, grand rooms and breath-taking views and gardens. you can have a swim, in a hot water pool surrounded by mountains and breakfast in full view of the volcano "agua". Peaceful nights. day time activities include coffee tour (highly recommended), bird watching among others. for the youngest, there are plenty of activities and tours.
2 restaurants, both a very good, though we favoured the traditional one where you can see how they prepare corn tortillas.
As the hotel is part of a coffee state where they roast their own coffee, the sweet smell of coffee and cocoa is every where, very pleasant and not intrusive; we loved it!
2 minor problems, the pillows a bit too large for our taste and the room though clean, not spotless; otherwise this was a parfect place. highly recommended. we will be back

The hotel is incredible. It is small, cozy, beautifully decorated. The roof patio has a stunning view of the volcano. And the staff is very kind and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious as well and everything is done with care and attention to detail. Bravo Posada del Angel.
