Lovely hotel, small and very personalPosted May 31, 2015
Pros: everything was perfect.
Loved it here. Stayed twice, before and after a trip to Antigua. Had a king room the first time which was upstairs, really big with nice balcony. Second time King wasn't available so had a queen which was smaller but equally as nice. You can leave doors open and feel like you are part of the courtyard so room feels bigger anyway. Nice little room where you can get a drink or just sit/watch TV, also open to the courtyard. Lovely garden wtih a pond. Super close to the Mall, a five minute 'safe' walk. Great staff, nice continental breakfast.

Staff are great. Very friendly and professional. Room had bad smell, very noisy next to street. Shower stall has mold on floor and walls.

Lovely small hotel near La Zona VivaPosted Mar 26, 2015
Location: The location is a bit away from the central part of the Zona Viva, but right near upscale Oakland Mall. The terrific Hacienda Real is nearby.
La Inmaculada is a really special boutique hotel. It appears to have 15-20 rooms, all facing into a tranquil courtyard. The size allows for a level of personal service beyond any I have found in years in Guatemala. The managers are fluent in French, English and who knows which other languages. They were able to quickly address every request. I recommend getting the large rooms. I understand they are well worth the difference in price. We stayed in one: Lovely bathroom, comfortable bed, ample space for storage as well as ample space for moving around. And a large private balcony over the courtyard. The hotel has a small restaurant that is quite handy and tasty. Full eggs, bacon, beans, fruit, coffee, juice, etc. breakfast is included in the rate, even when delivered to your room. I could go on and on about the great small touches at this hotel. The courtyard makes it homey. It feels like a private oasis.

Upmarket city centre boutique hotel.Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: Clean, quiet, well furnished, good wifi, good bar.
Cons: Hot water.
Location: This is an upmarket area, a refuge from the general chaos in Guatemala City. You can go window shopping and use the ATMs without a qualm.
Generally very good, staff keen to help, was able to organise onward travel (at a rather hefty price). Limited but good menu for meals in bar/ breakfast room. Downside: noisy construction work next door, no hot water in shower when we stayed

Inolvidable Guatemala!Posted Nov 25, 2014 on Hotels
