Beautiful hotel located in downtown Guayaquil.

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: The service was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location right smack in downtown Guayaquil.
Cons: The prices for soft drinks was pretty steep at $1.50 each. Across the street it would cost $0.80 each.
Location: There are restaurants, drug stores, Wendys, Subway, clothing stores, textiles, electronics.
We had a fantastic stay. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bell boys went out of their way to help us in every need. They took us to the airport every time we had a flight and were waiting for us upon our return. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the menu changed every day. Each day a new dish from local cuisine was prepared We had a great time and I will recommend this hotel to everyone. .

Geat location and staff.

Posted May 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed at the Hampton two nights prior to going to the Galapagos and found the experience very enjoyable. The hotel is close to all downtown locations. Room features and cleanliness were excellent. The included breakfast was excellent; the restaurant selection was good; and we had a tasty sushi dinner in the bar. The staff was extremely helpful; because this is a smaller hotel we felt that we were getting more personal attention. Our airline failed to deliver my wife's luggage; so we had to do some hurried shopping for clothes for our cruise. The hotel staff got us taxis and gave us advice as to where to shop which helped rescue our trip. I would definitely want to stay there again.

Hotel and Locaiton... a bit tired

Posted May 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Air conditioning did not cool room. Bed firm, Linens clean (no face/wash clothes provided), Carpet , drapes, upholstered chair in room would all benefit from a deep cleanining.Front desk area and lobby felt a bit tired. Front desk personnel helpful. Room service prompt, food hot, quality average/adequate. All-in -all I would choose another hotel in the future. .Location: Guayaquil downtown, did not feel safe or clean. Did have shuttle service to and from airport.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Hilton. All the employees were very helpful. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Another visit to Guayaquil Hampton Inn

Posted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: Everything
Location: Location is right in the heart of Guayaquil. The malecon is a block away, banks, restaurants, stores, and Government buildings a block away.
We have stayed several times at the Hampton Inn in Guayaquil. Everyone treats us like royalty. They remember our names and faces. Check in is easy, breakfast is always way above Excellent. However, the bar/sushi bar is over the top of excellent..

Great place, good value

Located next to the port (male on) this was a perfectly located hotel. Restaurants and businesses are also a walk away. The room was clean, but the hall had a smell of scented plug ins that was not necessary.

Worst front desk staff

Posted Jan 31, 2014
Pros: Dining room staff attentive.
Cons: Serious retraining of front desk staff needed.
Adding an extra day to our stay totally overwhelmed the front desk. Confirmed extra day three times at front desk but the next day they asked why we weren't checking out! Each room is provided only one complimentary bottle of water no matter how long your stay or the number of people in the room.

Disappointing

Posted Jan 15, 2014
Pros: Beds were nice
Cons: hotel staff service
Most things were nice but a lot of obvious items neglected. None of the ice machines worked, so we had to walk down to the store and buy bags of ice. Staff left only one bottle of water in the room each day; not nearly enough. The free breakfast buffet was plentiful but lacking in quality. We asked for a light blanket and were told no such thing existed. We had the opportunity to stay in a better place for $10.00 more a day which we will do next time.
