Downtown area close to everything

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Everything! Very nice hotel. The staff was extremely helpfull.
Cons: No pool.
Location: Close to everything. Walked to park of the iguanas, the historical churches and the most impressive board walk ( EL MALECON ) i have ever seen.
The hotel staff arranged for our pick up at the airport, provided map and instructions on how to get to the points of interest gave us complimentary drinks. The rooms were very modern, and beds very comfortable.Only stayed one day wish way had more time.

Clean, modern, quiet, exceptionally helpful staff

Posted Jun 10, 2014
Clean, modern, quiet, exceptionally helpful staff, excellent breakfast with tons of food. Only downside is the area in which it's located appears to shut down after dark, thus limiting restaurant choices. But during the day it's a lively and exciting neighborhood just 5 minutes from the waterfront.

Pros: Clean and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing.
The Hotel Palace Guayaquil was perfect from check in to check out. Front desk was friendly and efficient, the room was large and clean, and the dining room was excellent. All in all a great experience1

Nice reception staff.

Pros: Location
Cons: Restaurant stuff
Reception is very professional. In restaurant you have to wach carefully not to get wrong order. Waiter tried to sell more expencive wine and explayned it when we checked the bill that other wine was finished. But he did not informed us, just tried to sell. It was litle bit sad story. Hotel is very clean and good location to the river promenade.

Elegant hotel in central Guayaquil.

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: everything....the location...the service...the room...the restaurant
Cons: they had a private party that night, which they told us about, recommending we stay on the first floor, as the party would be loud on the 6th floor..
Location: easy walk to the Malecon, the main cathedral and "iguana park"
I chose to stay at the Palace because I wanted my Ecuadorian girlfriend to have a special experience for her birthday. Friends from the USA had stayed here before, so I knew more or less what to expect. The staff was extremely helpful, the food in the restaurant was first class, and the room was impeccable.

We stayed here for one night in a junior suite before a morning flight to JFK then LHR. Clean, upmarket decor, good little restaurant and great staff, and all at a knockout price! Woul definitely recommend.

Not a palace but a safe retreat

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: The beds are incredibly comfortable and the hot water was a blessing!
Cons: The food was terrible and over-priced. It would be helpful to have staff with some English speaking ability.
Don't believe that pictures.... it isn't that nice. Although if the maid had actually put the decorative pillows and runner on the bed, at least that photo would have been spot on. (I saw them in the closet; that is just lazy)

great place to stay with a minor hiccup

Posted Feb 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is ideally situated very close to the wharf and main square. It was immaculately clean and offered a great breakfast. The staff was outstanding and I was given instant assistance with a wifi problem (turned out it was my device and not a hotel problem) and with my a/c, which was also in perfect working condition. I stayed in a junior suite and it was massive and so comfortable and clean. 2 walls full of windows. one minor issue: they checked me into a regular room by mistake and had I not said something upon seeing the room (I almost didn't), I would have paid for a junior suite and spent the night in a standard room. but it all worked out and I would stay there again, and recommend it.
