The location is good - some rooms have good views. But very noisy in the morning and the rooms are very old.

Good inexpensive place to stay at for layovers or short stays. Very safe location for tourist. Definitely not the Hilton but for the price it's nice.

great 4 my purposePosted Jul 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Was here for dental work b 4 visiting friends on coast. Only needed clean, comfortable place at reasonable price and this met my needs. Older property with photo opps of park, iguanas and cathedral across the street. Neighborhood seems safe

Very close to Malecon and Parks, HistoricalPosted Jul 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
David at front desk very friendly and helpful, we struggled through the language barrier. Overlooked a park and 3 blocks to Malecon, walking distance to the 444 steps at to the top of Los Penas, Indigenious Markets, drugstores, cafes, shops, etc. Free breakfast a plus but nothing fancy.

terrible place--don't stay therePosted May 8, 2011 on Hotels.com
we had reserved a room at the Plaza st raphael a good 6 weeks in advance. they were to hold the room with a credit card. we were on a flight, arriving around midnight in Guayaquil. when we arrived they had given our room away. i had the impression that they were renting the rooms to prostitutes. royce

Just to SleepPosted Oct 27, 2010
The hotel is awesome if you want to be centric to all the action. It is right in downtown Guayaquil and the service is good. No luxury and have your own soap and shampoo because what they give is very small. Other than that I will stay there again. Good price and OK small breakfast included complementary.
