Location: Really in the middle of no where. Without a vehicle, there is no where to go.
The negatives: Cockroach in hotel room, really uncomfortable mattress, terribly noisy air conditioning. Sound from lobby easily heard. Hot tub much too cold.

Good breakfastPosted Sep 1, 2013
Overall, nice hotel on the marina. Drawbacks include lack of restaurants and closeness to beach. The beach is down the street and through another complex. If you are only in San Carlos for boating, fishing or diving, it's ok. Try going back into town for restaurants or walk up the street to five palms for something different. Marina terra restaurant has good breakfasts though- buffet with omelet chef.

Close to the Marina and the BeachPosted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel location is very convenient and the surroundings are beautiful. Service need a little improvement, the person at the front desk seem like she couldn't care less if you were waiting for her when she was on the phone. The rooms are comfortable but very dated. Old fridge and kitchen appliancces, and the bathroom fixtures could use a little TLC. Wireless signal is very weak in most rooms. Overall the stay was real good.

Good Choice if you're fishingPosted Jul 9, 2013
Not a bad Mexican hotel. The bathroom fixtures were old but clean. This is a good choice if you're fishing on a charter out of the Marina San Carlos like we were. The hotel fronts the marina so you can just step out onto your ride. If you're looking for a beach, you may want to look elsewhere

Lack of maintenance of the hotelPosted May 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Cleanliness was fare, we had a problem with the sofa beds that need more attention on cleanliness and also the lack of maintenance of the hotel. For example the light fixture in the bathroom of our room was lose and ready to fall down. There was water leaking from the ceiling and after four days it was still not repaired. Leak was not from the roof since it did not rain when we where there. The hotel is not visible from the main street and there is no sign that indicates where the hotel is.
