Tight servicePosted Dec 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Tight service. Staff needs more training in dealing with guest requests such as changing a light bulb, replacing towels. Had a three day stay and my key was only coded for two days. Tried to get into my room and had to wait over 30 minutes before finally getting a new key!!! Very poor service if something is needed beyond a clean room! Would not return to hotel again. Other local hotel options available. Too bad!If you decide to go, ask if there will be a wedding! Very noisy when there is a wedding. Had gone there 3 weeks before and had also had to deal with noise from wedding!

Was nice once - now very tired!Posted Nov 15, 2013
Pros: The location on the Sea of Cortez.
Cons: A complete reno of the guest rooms.
Location: It is a long way away from San Carlos Centro so you primarily have to eat on site.
The lobby and pool area were quite nice. The rooms are awful. Very dated - bath tub rusty. No deck furniture. Linens were like rags. The mattresses had holes in them. Worried about bugs in the mattress. I assume in an effort to save money they turn all the corridor lights out during the day - very dark and unsafe feeling. We were assigned to a room far away from the lobby - due to the fact we have a small dog - they did not tell us that when we called them before booking. They were worried the dog would bark. That quickly became a huge joke as they put us in a room in the middle of a teenage group that had no supervision. The were yelling and screaming and pounding on our door all night. At 6 am when we decided to leave as we had a long drive, they were still screaming in the lobby. At that time the corridors and the entire lobby had all the lights off and was very erie. Staff were setting up breakfast in the dark. This hotel is set in a beautiful location and that is its only good feature. It truly needs an extensive reno in the guest rooms. We were very disappointed.

Not very pleasePosted Sep 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
One of the nights the A/C did not worked in our room. There is this mexican buffet for breakfast, but very expensive. No other choice close by.
Will try somewhere else next time.Posted Sep 18, 2013
Pros: Staff were pleasant.
Cons: Replace mattresses, push rocks out further into ocean.
Location: San Carlos is an Awesome snorkeling/scuba location.
Rock hard mattresses in all 4 rooms. Sandy beach until in water, then all rocks. Had to find another beach to enjoy swimming in the ocean. I'm going to try somewhere else on the next trip.

Pleased with the service and the environment.Posted Jul 13, 2013
Pros: See note above.
Cons: Pool needs maintenance.
Location: Private Tejon boat trip on the ocean, very excellent. Site seeing trip at El Mirador, excellent Sea food (cocont with mariscos).
Everything was good except the pool, needs maintenance. I liked eating at the restaurant and the food service attendants while relaxing at the beach.
