Recommended: I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The only downside was that their continental breakfast that we were looking forward to in the morning was done by 10 a.m which at that time we were just gettng ready. Recommended: We arrived late in the evening after a long drive. The front desk service was excellent. The room we had booked on Expedia did not have a seperate bedroom even though it appeared on the photos that it did. The front desk staff upgraded our room at no extra charge to give us the seperate bedroom that we needed. Breakfast was included and added to the great value of this hotel. Location was not great; the hotel is located in an industrial area. Would definately stay there again if travelling to the area. Recommended: It was good enough for Sir John A. Macdonald and it was good enough for me. It's an old fashioned inn with surprisingly high ceilings and wide hallways in the heart of downtown Guelph. We were in easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see in the city centre. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I will return. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: The hotel mostly met expectation - guess it depends what your expectation is, he? For a relatively low price (cheapest I found online) you get a fairly average hotel - the rooms are adequate, but they look fairly aged due to poor maintenance care. The room was warm enough and of course super dry so that you wake up with "hotel nose". Next time I think I'll run the shower all nite to get some moisture in the room. Not recommended: Although they have 1 crib available, they cannot locate it. Do not take young children. We arrived late in the day with a baby in tow and they were uncaring that they could not provide a crib, although such had been guaranteed upon booking. See all reviews for this hotel
