“Couldn't ask for better”

The Duke is in the centre of town but on a backstreet so it is convenient for all facilities but still quiet. The layout and upkeep are generally very good and the bar exceptionally atmospheric and welcoming. Food is good quality and good value. My room was well equipped, the bed extremely comfortable and the shower hot and powerful. The free wifi worked faultlessly and the television was modern and large enough to view comfortably from the bed. The DVD player was an unexpected extra that I didn't use but was good to see. But without doubt the best feature of the hotel is the superb staff; all were smart, polite, helpful, professional and pleasant. Perhaps the best recommendation I can make is that when I return to Guernsey I will undoubtedly try to book with the Duke of Normandie again.
