Reasonably priced hotel close to town and beach.Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Location, staff.
Cons: Small stuff, like a dining table and chairs. There is lots of room in the room for it.
Location: So much within a 1.5-2 mile drive. Thai restaurant across the street, gas station about a mile down the road. Beach about 3 miles in Guilford.
This is my third visit to the Guilford area, the second time I actually spent the night. I chose this hotel for proximity to Guilford and price. I spent two nights here. The gentleman at the front desk welcomed my most warmly, even upgrading my room at no additional charge. I stayed in a King Room. It was huge, with a kitchen area, desk, couch bed and dresser. It was on the first level. The rooms apparently all have wood floors. This made for some noise as the people in the room above moved about. But, when I'm tired, I can tune noise out. The room could have done with a proper table and chairs for eating, but no big deal. The breakfast that came with the room was excellent, yogurt, muffins, pastries, bagels, cereal....alas no fresh fruit...but much better than many motels/hotels. I plan to stay here next year when I return for the local festival. There is a Thai restaurant across the street, gas station less than a mile away, peaceful surroundings.

UnderparPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The lady in the office when we arrived was very nice and helpful with information. The rooms are quite large.
Cons: Stock kitchenette with basics. Only thing in kitchen was a plastic ice bucket and a one-cup coffeemaker with coffee, etc. and a couple of cups..
Location: Location is good.
The room was very roomy and the beds were comfortable but the floors were dirty, we had to ask for more towels, washcloths and handtowels since there were only two sets and we had registered as three. I told them in the office when we arrived that my daughter would be joining us later that night. The telephone in our room was out of order which we didn't even know about until the lady in the office came up to ask me if I was expecting a guest! I reminded her that I told her my daughter was coming and she then allowed my daughter to come to the room. It would have been excellent security if I hadn't told them already that she was coming.

Really nice one night stayPosted Nov 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The manager was extremely helpful. He let us look at a couple of rooms to decided which room we would like to stay in. He checked to make sure that our room was comfortable and warm, he was wonderful and the room was very cozy. We really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back next year.

be sure of the length of stayPosted Oct 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is is dire need of renovation the suite rooms are roomy but very dated and old furniture If you have to shorten your stay for any reason they will not refund if booked via Hotels.com. Remark is we lose too much on commission with hotels.com I had to shorten my stay with 2 nights so ended up overpaying $190.00 on this trip for hotel stay

The room had not been renovated for at least 30 years. The wall paper was peeling and the bathroom was very tired. The room was clean. If you are nostalgic for the 80's this is your place.

Conveniently located hotelPosted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: Location. It's just off I95 on Boston Post Road. It's a short drive to visit elderly relatives at The Gables at Guilford and a short drive into town.
Cons: There are no dishes although all rooms have kitchenettes. Complimentary continental breakfast has weak coffee and no fruit or yogurt.
Hotel is under new management, and the complimentary breakfast is not as good as it used to be. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Renovations are under way.

CutePosted Sep 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Cute room... It felt like a small apartment complete with a kitchen and living room. The shower pressure wasn't the best, probably could use a new shower head. Also, the toilet didn't work. It clogged after I threw in a tissue from blowing my nose. Mattress looked new, no bed bugs. Tv in bedroom was controlled by the tv in the living room. So someone could not watch a different show in a different room. Nice staff.
