Fabulous hotelPosted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: This is a very reasonably priced hotel and a very comfortable hotel and everything just worked, and was clean, when compared to other hotels in China.
Cons: Staff spoke better English than my Chinese so I can't say anything negative about them.
Location: Right by awesome restaurants, for both dinner and breakfast, and right by bars with a pool table. Less than 5 mins walk to Zhongyang Lu.
Hotel was very comfortable. Great heating. Great hot water. Huge bed. Lots of space in the room. Close to bars and close to local restaurants.

very nice placePosted Jul 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
"Rabbit" was, in particular a very nice and great employee, both at check in and check out a little away from the "action" but I like that... easy to get a bike, cab, bus, to the middle of town. balcony maybe could use some attention.

OK hotel but better options available in townPosted Jan 21, 2014
Pros: The location, right downtown
Cons: Staff friendliness, the overall decor, the A/C-heating units, a guide in English on how to use both the TV and the AC unit.
Location: Great location, close to shops and restaurants.
This is a chinese run hotel and it shows. First, the lobby: not heated, so the staff members have to wear a jacket all the time. No English spoken, which I am ok with as long as we can communicate to a certain extent. I was unable to use my credit card to leave a deposit, it did not work and this is the only hotel in China where I had such problem, still a minor issue and I left a cash deposit. The young lady at the tour desk was asleep on the desk(!!) when we passed by, so we decided to go elsewhere to book our Li river trip. The room was ok. It was not a great room, but not bad either. You could see that the bathroom had been redone recently, but the craftsmanship was very much below standard. Also, do not plan on using the television unless you can read chinese caracters, because the remote and the information on how to use it is written in chinese only. Same with the A/C-heating unit, very hard to work with because you do not really know what happens when you press a button. The bed was the hardest we encountered while in China, I have never seen a bed that hard. Also, in the morning while checking out, we asked for help getting a cab because there was none waiting outside. The young girl at the desk basically told us to get out and to hail one in the street. Not very helpful or professionnal. We crossed the street and ask for help at the Sheraton, and they helped us out. So for the same price, I would recommend the Sheraton instead.

Ragionevole soluzionePosted Oct 7, 2013

Good location but service was lacking.Posted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: It close proximity to the river, lake, shops and tourist attractions.
Cons: Service could be improved.
Location: As previously stated the location was very handy to shops, eating places as well as tourist attractions.
The hotel is in a handy location close to the river, shops and eating places. When we arrived the check-in procedure was drawn out because initially no-one could speak English and from what we could gather there appeared to be a mix-up with our booking. Finally an English speaking supervisor came over and communicated briefly with us in English but then left the remaining check-in process to his staff. He appeared to be disinterested.

HotelPosted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: The staff at the front desk could not speak English.
Cons: Communication at front desk.
This is an older hotel but the location is excellent. Right across the street is the Li River with Elephant's Trunk Hill and the Twin Pagodas within walking distance. We were able to upgrade our room with the help of the friendly and professional manager. Our room had a nice balcony and a big bathroom.

Pros: Very clean room
Cons: I had some difficulty with communicating in English with the staff ( minor problem)
Location: The location is excellent. walking distance to many points of interrest. excellent walk along the river.Cafe restaurants near by. I love it
I had a very good stay at Guilin Eva Inn Hotel. The position is very good near Li river. If I have the chance to return to Guilin," Guilin Eva Inn hotel" will be my hotel to stay.
