Good enough to repeatPosted Dec 27, 2012 on Hotels.com
it was a quiet period when all the Sheraton's regular foreigners are back home for xmas. so we almost had the whole hotel to just a few families. the staff were very accomodating so we had a short and sweet stay.
Excellent location & good valuePosted Nov 12, 2012 on Hotels.com
A medium standard hotel at a good price and excellent location. It is walking distance to twin pagoda lake, Elephant Trunk Hill, Fubo Hill, 7 Star Park, pedestrian shopping mall and across the road from Li River. I would definitely stay here again.

Good HotelPosted Jul 9, 2012
Pros: Location. Decent pool and fitness center
Cons: Interior halls
Location: Great location by river and tourist attactions. Market, shops, and restaurants within 5 minute walk.
Very good location. Close to river and tourist attactions. Market and shops right behind hotel. Interior could do with some updating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Reasonable value.

Loved the Sheraton GuilinPosted Jul 1, 2012
Very well located. Great rooms. Loved the rooftop bar. Staff were great and had some great recommendations for seeing Guilin and nearby attractions. We were very comfortable here.

Perfect hotel choice for our stay at GuilinPosted Jun 27, 2012
Pros: Discovered the roof top bar for a late night drink quite by accident (7th floor). Much better option than the hotel lobby lounge for a nightcap.
Location: Great location - easy access to everything so other than airport transfer, no taxi needed while in Guilin.
Great location on the river, easy walk to the lake and around the lake sights. Plenty of food streets to stop and eat beside and behind the hotel. Check-in was quick and efficient, hotel staff happy to hold our luggage until rooms became available (we asked for 3 rooms to be side by side, otherwise could have checked in when we arrived at 11am) and we received a phone call once rooms were ready. Breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and offered everything you'd expect; very relaxed attitude toward kids under 12 being charged 1/2 price for buffet. (This is a bonus for us - we've had plenty of hotels wanting to measure the kids to determine their eligibility for 1/2 price and refusing the 7,9 & 11yo kids price). Good service desk with english speaking staff - we took the river cruise to Yangshuo. Overall a really good hotel experience.
Right in front of Li River , close to rest n shopsPosted Jun 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
Location is five star. We were upgraded to Li river view room, however Li river view is not as great as expected. The sky is cloudy during the summer . Best to visit is April. Hotel itself feels like 3.5 stars room compare to US standard. But it is quite clean and bed is comfortable with nice pillows. Restaurant is good deal and pretty tasty.

Excellent choicePosted May 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
The Sheraton hotel is very conveniently located to the nicest part of the city centre. The staff all spoke English and were really nice and helpful. My room was large and the bed very comfortable

Sheraton qualityPosted Apr 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
One of the best Sheraton's we have stayed in. Great location and spacious well equipped rooms. We do think that a pair of sunglasses left in our room might have been taken by the housekeeping staff however.

Sheraton GuilinPosted Apr 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
A five star hotel that is somewhat dated and not a five star when compared to similar 5star in other cities ... maybe 4 - 4.5 stars. Well kept and clean with good service. Their 'Cathy Chinese Restaurant' however is thoroughly recommended. Beautiful food and great service and when we were there a young woman playing traditional Chinese 'zheng' (stringed instrument). Also the tour desk in reception is also recommended for trips ... we went to Lognshen and cruised to Jangshau and were very pleased with what was recommended. If we went to Guilin we'd consider staying there again as it was reliable and value.
