“will return”
"good" restaurant in hotel. great bed. great view of gulf. nice balcony outside room.
“Great for motorcycle travelers”
Great for motorcycle travelers, walk to hangout, Bahama Bobs, & shrimp festival, not much of a walk out to beach, great location nice beds
“Great Location but Mediocre Accomodations”
You really can't beat the location but the hotel left plenty to be desired. The carpet in room was damp to the touch the entire three days. The room smelled of mildew the entire time. Being allergic to mildew this did not make for restful sleep or a comfortable stay. There is shelf over sink and you cant get over sink to wash face without hitting head and making mess. Because I didn't go through the hotel and pay more for the room we ended up with the room that looked out to a blank wall because the indoor pool is in separate building in front parking lot. Because of our view of the wall the room felt closterphobic. The outdoor pool on beach side was freezing even in heat of day. The hot tub was the temperature the pool should have been. When getting free coffee and tea in morning the hot water was brown coming out of the machine. So we passd on both coffee and tea.
“Dirty Hotel, with a good location.”
This hotel was pretty nasty and the beach was just alright, we ended up driving down to Florida the next day.
“Not Bad at All”
Was a little more pricey than I expected but other than that it was all good.
“not impressed,”
people was rude and the room was not want I wanted , the place had a smell , room service was bad . the worker were rude and bosses their was several familys that I talk to that was unhappy about the place and said they would never come back thereI was told one price and they said expedia was worry a charge of 250.00 if you smoke on your balcony plus they said another 250.00 for the state of Flo. a total of 500.00 this is not right . I was not happy about the poeple or the hotel I will not go back to the state of Alabama again to stay at the beach I will go back to Flo. if this is their way down there we have been going there for about 10 years I hate to know that they dont care enough to keep people coming back, you would think after Ivan and the oil spill they would do their best .
“Best Western on the Beach”
This hotel was adequate for my needs. The kitchenette was not furnished with anything other than the appliances, so be aware of this. It was right on the beach which was very convenient.
“Excellent Location”
This is an older hotel, but our room was comfortable with super soft sheets, plenty of hot water and towels, and an adequate balcony with a gulf view. Parking was no problem, and the staff was friendly. A computer was available in the lobby for the guests to use, and a wifi connection was available, although the signal was weak. So I recommend loading your books on your Kindle before you leave home. One complaint I have is that the coffee maker was placed in the bathroom with the toilet! I always enjoy making my own coffee in the morning, but there was no way I was going to touch that coffee maker. The air conditioner worked great, but it was a bit noisy when we sat on the balcony. There is an indoor pool, not heated, and two outdoor pools. We would stay in this hotel again unless we brought the family along; then we would look for a condo.
“Not impressed for money spent!”
For the amount paid there was no (even cold) breakfast offered and no work out facility. The pancake house was available down stairs, but not impressed with food. Smallest bathroom ever to do anything in, bathroom floors were very dirty, especially in the corners and under sink/toilet, and no toilet paper holder was a bit annoying with keeping it placed within the small space we had to place our toiletries. Wall plug-ins were loose and wasnt able to plug things in appropriately. A bit dissapointed in my hotel choice. For that price, or a bit more, could have experienced a better stay. Positive note-House Keepers and Front desk were very pleasant. We were able to check in at 11 (due to our room being ready early) which was nice after traveling 13 hours. Hotel close and within walking distance to shopping and entertainment.
“disappointed”
We were bummed out to see the outside hot tub wasn't warm, the kitchen was almost a waste because there wasn't hardly anything there that we needed for basic cooking ( no dish towel, no dish soap, no big spoon, no strainer, no toaster, no baking pan, not enough plates or silverware or bowls etc.) There was a long electrical wire hanging down middle of the kitchen cupboard that scared me to have my kids around. There was no continental breakfast even though the lady on the phone said there was. And no fitness room.
