“Good hotel for the money”

Wanted a hotel with a pool that was close to the beach for spring break. It was only a few miles from the beach, but the pool had been struck by lightning the day before we got there so the kids couldn't go swimming. I don't hold any fault with the hotel, they can't control mother nature and they did have someone there working on getting it fixed. It was ready the day we left, but at least they were able to swim at the beach. For the price we paid for a suite, it was well worth the money. The fitness room was small but my son was still able to do his track workout while we were there. The complimentary breakfast was enough to satisfy the kids until lunch. Loved the Otis Spunkmeyer muffins. If the kids want to go to the beach again next spring break, I'm sure we will choose to stay here again.

“Will Stay Again...”

I was fortunate to stay in the new part of the hotel which was terrific. I had a last minute change in rooms and the staff graciously accomodated that request without any hassle. The reviews I read before booking had me a little hesitant, but I'm glad I decided to check it out for myself.

“Great Hotel. Would stay here again.”

Great Hotel. Very clean room, cool temperature, plenty towels & toiletries. Coffee maker clean. Clean beds. LOVED the comfortable bedding. I stayed here for a dive weekend so I got in late Saturday night and left very early Sunday morning, but if I had to stay so close to the beach again, this would be the place. It was just what I needed after a long day of driving, boat rides & scuba.

Very comfy beds. Very quite. Great location. Away from beach so you don't deal with crowds but close enough to spend the day in town. Had two 17 yr old girl, plenty of hot water and towels.

“Worth the money”

The overall experience was exactly what I expected from a Microtel. I had priced other motels in the area and this was about half the price of a room on the beach. We were less than 10 minutes from the beach so no problem. The room was clean, up to date and well furnished. We were on the third floor and the water pressure, as stated by someone else, was very low. The room was not as large as it appeared in the pictures but it was quite adequate and had free Wi-Fi that was not mentioned anywhere that I saw. I only had contact with two employees and they were both very friendly and helpful when needed. If you are looking for a basic motel that is a good place to stay without the extras and fancy stuff, I would recommend this motel.

“Suited us fine”

We vacationed at Gulf Shores for a week. This hotel was just what we wanted. The price was right, but still within 3 miles of the beach and a lot of other attractions. Our agenda was to find a nice clean hotel to sleep in. Each morning we would leave the hotel and head for the beach, the pier, the wharf, the swamp, the ferry, etc. We can watch T.V. at home, so why be confined to a large luxury room? Suited us just fine, great, clean place to stay.

“Very good for the price.”

Bathroom was very updated and clean. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Not a super-convenient location if you're planning to go to the beach unless you mind a little drive in traffic that can be at times very congested. Mattress was of the firm kind. TV was very dated. Pretty good for a sleep-and-go hotel. If you want glam and glitz, you're not going to get it here. Keep in mind the low price.

“Pleasantly surprised”

I honestly didn't think that this place was going to be clean or comfortable but it was absolutely fabulous. The only thing I didn't like was the distance to the beach.

“**Will be back this summer!!!!**”

check in was easy! our stay was great, although most of our time spent was not in the hotel we only slept there at night but everything was very nice and clean. will return again this summer. only thing will ask for a fridge and microwave next time that would be nice. breakfast is basic honeybuns and cereal but thats fine to it was FREE!! only bad thing was trying to get out onto the highway bad place when traffic was heavy, really needs a redlight!! pool looked nice too cold to get in tho but maybe could try it out this summer!! this is not the ritz but good enough for me and with a great price for a quick trip to the beach!!
