Nice hotel on at the base of the mountain

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Nice hotel accommodations and convenient, but an interesting experience with the staff over a five day stay. The hotel personnel may tend to have a focus on conference attendees. Valet/Garage Parking was not a great experience at check-in. Concierge generally not available, although front desk personnel were friendly. They were out of maps for the hiking/biking trail locations in the area and simply directed me to the Chamber of Commerce which was downtown. They had poor recommendations of companies to contact for other activities. The restaurant in the hotel was not exceptional. The housekeeping staff also seemed put out at times, and I never received turndown service even though it was mentioned as a perk for the room rate. The fire alarm went off overnight at 3:30 am on a Sunday with no known fires. Apparently, it was a slower late summer weekend but still no excuse for lack of attention to details from the staff. The beautiful surroundings and gorgeous weather outside quickly make you forget about the service being provided inside!

Ski Resort - Nice Place

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: clean with cool stuff close by.
Location: skiing, ziplining, pool, hot tub, shopping nearby
Nice Room. Pretty town. Ski Bunnies nearby. Bring lots of cash cuz it aint cheap. also use the public parking or else you'll get charged 15 bucks to park at the hotel. public parking is only about a block and a half away. Bring bread and bologna and put it in the fridge unless you love to spend money on high priced meals.

Very nice hotel in a great area!

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Super clean, friendly staff, stocked kitchenette (plates, cups, dish soap, wash cloth)
Cons: Charging for parking seems a bit cheap.
Location: biking, miniature golf, children's museum, shuttle into town.
We made last minute reservations at this hotel for the USA Procycle Challenge. From our arrival to departure, the hotel and its staff were great! It is within walking distance of the children's museum and a playground making it a great place to stay with kids. The room was one of the cleaner I have stayed in at a hotel for a while. They have a restaurant and well-stocked gift store (it even has swimsuits!) to make sure that if you forgot anything you can get it. They had bike storage, a kids area, and a nice pool. They also had a special that if you booked before you left, you could get a king room for $89 a night during ski season. Needless to say, we will be back!

We really loved the location of this hotel and we also enjoyed the gym, sauna, steam room and outdoor hot tub. One of the best features was free wine and cookies from 5:00 til 6:00pm. We thought the hotel was very clean and safe. The staff was very helpful especially the bell hops and we were glad to see it was pet friendly. We also liked having a coffee maker with coffee, refrigerator and a microwave.

Not for Summer

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Rooms were nice, but incredibly small for the price.
Cons: I think they really need to differentiate between summer and winter. They charge winter-like high-season rates for services in the summer season.
Location: The town is amazing. Stay there :)
There's nothing "wrong" with the hotel, it's just overpriced for what you get in the summer. It might be luxurious in the winter when they are fully staffed, but in the summer it's a sad ghost town with overpriced food (and not many choices at that). Tiny pool, tiny hot tub. Crappy breakfast buffet (really - I've had almost as good for free at many chain hotels!) My bad for staying there, I should've stayed in town.

Pros: Location
Cons: Staff
The hotel is in a great location. The resaurant service was horrible and the front desk staff acted as though our being there was a huge inconvenience.

We had a very relaxing stay

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Cons: Charging people $15 per day for car parking seemed a bit much.
Even in summertime, Crested Butte had so much to offer. The hotel was really comfortable and we really enjoyed spending time in the outdoor dining area.

C-B Visit

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: First impressions were very positive because of the friendly staff. The room was nice and clean and perfectly adequate for our stay.
Cons: I would consider summer to be somewhat of an off-season for the hotel...so I was a little surprised by the $15/day parking charge
Location: Downtown is nice--ate at The Last Steep and Brick Oven Pizza...both very good. Excellent trails nearby and Emerald Lake is worth the drive.
Enjoyed a short weekend by taking in the arts festival/hiking/4 wheeling and relaxing. Downtown C-B is very nice and found some good restaurants.
